No, it is not 100% camellia oil. On their official website, it says that this oil contains "ミネラルオイル、カメリア種子油、トリエチルヘキサノイン、黄204", which is "mineral oil, camellia seeds oil, triethylhexanoin, yellow 204". Hope this helps.

Q: Can I use it in the hair?

I would assume since this product is used on kitchen knives that it is food grade and thus safe to use on skin and hair. The product description says it's pure and not poisonous but never to be used as a cooking oil. NOTE: Camellia oleifera is the variety commonly used as an edible cooking oil whereas this product is "tsubaki" which is camellia japonica.

Q: can you use this oil on door hinges?

I personally would not - it is food grade oil for coating steel Japanese chef knives after sharpening or cleaning. What I've seen is that the iol will stay as an oily deposit at least a month after application. I wipe off the blade when using the knife again. The oil soaks into the wooden handles immediately so you may stain a wooden door??
