I have found this design as the very best for stopping the bleeding from a razor cut from shaving. Perfect for nicks. You simply very lightly moistening the cotton area with water. Then apply it to the cut with a little pressure. It stops bleeding quickly, in under ten seconds and you are done. I shave then shower, the bleeding does not restart even after a lot of water hitting my face and washing my face. The spot treating nature of this get all the medication where it is needed and no other place. Another benefit of spot treating is you do not get the large white residue after the area drys that often happens with styptic pencils and rollers.Now why did I reduce this items rating by one star: the packaging! After opening this up, where do I store the remaining sticks after using the first one? How do you keep them clean? I have seen these packaged like a book of matches. This protects the sticks but does solve the cleanliness problem.I will use a zip lock bag for now, but that will not prevent them from breaking. This item is begging for a small, simple and cheap plastic container to be included. It would be worth the extra cost.

Only received 18 out of the 24 packets. I purchased this item with the sale stating that 24 packets were included, this was clearly not what I received. If not corrected, I will not purchase again and leave the review as is.

Put in your travel kit!!

Nice option when you have small cuts and scrapes. Seals up nicely without having to deal with bandages. Great add-in for any first aid kit.
