Loctite 242 Threadlocker - Blue Liquid 1.69oz Bottle

This is the common thread locker use in all types of automotive repair, it keeps the bolts and nuts from coming loose, the main way to get this to work is to be sure it is free form grease and oil, just clean the parts with some good brake cleaner or carburetor cleaner and apply to the threads and torque as necessary and you will get good results. The package that you get here will last a DIY person several years and in a mechanical shop it will last a long time. I have been using this same item for years and have always had good results. If you want something more permanent you should use the red formula, but for most applications this formula is great.

I would 100% buy again when I need more! This stuff works very well, I use it on all my projects mostly, just put some on the screw or what ever you are using it for and tighten, definitely a good price for what it is! Size is awesome very good value, it holds very well for a long time! The only thing is if you are taking something in and out slot it won't really work good! I've used 242 for years. Never let me down, Easy to remove and holds tight. Basically superglue for bolts.

Someone should tell customers that the bottles are only half full because this is an anaerobic product and it only cures in the absense of oxygen. If the bottles and tubes were fully filled, the lack of oxygen inside the bottle could cause the product to cure before you use it. Once applied to fasteners and installed, the lack of oxygen inside the joint and the prresence of metal ions completes the cure stage. I'm sure you are still receiving the proper quantity stated on the bottle label.
