Q: Are these tiles removable? I live in an apartment.

It really depends on the surface they were installed on. They are easy to remove with little to no damage for most of the walls (for smooth ceramic tile / wallpaper / wall panel (acrylic) / mirror , they are totally no problem, we do not recommend to remove from the walls have the painted and refreshed many times). To make it easy, use a blow dryer to warm up each tile to soften the adhesive and pull softly starting with the corners. Use a cleaning product to wash the wall and remove any excess glue left by the peel and stick tiles.

Q: Does this subway tile have a plastic appearance to it on the wall?

It worked great for the project we had. We used on the back wall of an upper cabinet with no doors to display dishes. It looks great at a distance but I don’t know if I would want it for a backsplash. All in all it’s a great product.

Q: Can they be placed over wallpaper?

Yes, that is what we did, in the shower area
