Q: How do you use these. The directions weren’t clear enough. Do you just stick the strip inside of you or is there a different method?

There instructions on the back of the product and we are also including instructions on the email that we sent to buyers. 1) Wash and dry your hands. Cut a piece of the pH strip. Do not allow the ph paper to come into contact with anything. 2) While laying down hold the strip and insert into your vagina so that the paper comes in contact with the vagina wall. Hold for 5 seconds 3) Remove the strip and wait for 30 seconds. 4) Compare the results to the color chart.

Q: How are these different than standard body fluid pH test strips?

Q: Can this product distinguish between a yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis?

Hope this helps, but BV is associated with elevated Ph (over 4.8) whereas a yeast infection may be present with normal Ph levels. Yeast infections will typically have symptoms of itching, burning, etc., while BV will usually cause a fishy odor.

Q: Are you able to test for amniotic fluid with these?

There is a different paper strip test for the presence of amniotic fluid that would be performed by a physician. Please call your OBGYN if you think you are leaking amniotic fluid.
