Worth the money
Works awesome for the price I just used it for putting in a laminate flooring in my house and no issues but like others have said some of the batteries don’t lock in but they don’t fall out either

A decent saw if you have Makita style batteries
This is a nice little saw that came in after a discount coupon, including california tax with free prime transport, for $50.00I have a good stock of Makita type batteries, so I wanted something in the way of a small saw, a genuine Makita mini saw being more than present budget would allow.I was worried about how the balance would be, but with a 6Ahr unit it feels fime in the hand. I am a lefty, so the left side placement of the trigger lock requires a bit of a technique to activate, but that is the case on most tools unless they come with ambidexterous controlsI thought the included blade looked a bit aggressive, but surprisingly it cut pine type 1X4 smoothly and cleanly with just a bit of splinterind on the narrow side of the board from the blade coming through.I was interested in this saw because of the higher RPM as well, as most clones of the Makit mini show a 4000 RPM rating, far less than this saw.The motor seems to be plenty powerful and feels robust. The main negative issue has been mentioned by others, namely the battery not locking in place. My saw had this deficiency, which required about 20 minutes with a file to enlarge the slot where the battery catch hooks in by filing away material towards the tail end of the saw, and filing back the small angled portions on the sides that also seemed to be preventing the battery from seating fully forward. Now with a nice click, the batteries snap in and present no further problem.I did not try cutting down any giant redwoods, as my main use of this saw is for cutting pre-primed pine for use as window interior surround, and other light duty tasks around the house.I will look for some assorted blades to handle thinner material and the like to increase the versatility of the saw.Even with having to finish the tool manufacturing process by massaging the battery bay, this is still a great deal.

Poor quality, really weak motor. You get what you pay for.. maybe a little less than you pay for.
so cheap.. but so cheap($).. you will get what you pay for. I suppose for a throwaway plywood saw it will do. anything more and you will be disappointed. I bet you can find better for the price.

Nice Saw and a Good Price
Great price for a pretty cool tool. It works very well and fits real Makita batteries. I am not a construction worker but may have a need for this thing once or twice a year and at this price point it makes sense to have it. Really handy.

Ok not great
It's just ok. The first thing I noticed is that my genuine Makita batteries don't fit right. I tried 3 different ones and none of them click in like they do with genuine tools. The battery can slide out of the tool without pressing the grey tab. Also the power level LEDs don't really make sense. There are two rows of lights and only one row lights up and it doesn't match the power level displayed on the battery. I bought it to just use around the house occasionally. I've made a few small cuts to plywood so far and it worked, although once it stopped mid cut when the blade encountered a knot.
