Delicious for soup!
These yellow lentils are perfect to keep on hand for a quick soup or side dish anytime. Lately I've tried "tempering" this yellow dal with flavorful spices cooked separately in very hot oil and stirred into the dal just before serving. This method of adding "tadka" to the dal brings out its best flavor.
