Q: Is this a foodgrade bucket? I am looking for something to store my grains in for food storage and want to avoid plastic.

It is not. Our plastic pails are bpa free and food grade - 2V-K9N7-B0B7

Q: Is it safe for grilling, non-galvanized?

It appears to be non-galvanized, as the inside of the bucket is very "raw". I noticed some rust inside after some use, and sprayed a clear lacquer inside to keep it from oxidizing any further. However, keep in mind that the paint on the outside of it is more than likely not considered safe for grilling. Hopefully this info helps.

Use a stainless steel cooking stock pot instead. No rust.
