Too floppy to use

Does not work in the slightest. A very disappointed boy at Christmas

This boomerang arrived tethered to a cardboard backing.It looks really impressive with it's eagle design in bright, vibrant colours. On the rear it's just plain white.Made of foam, it's lightweight and soft (though sturdy enough not to fall apart) so easy to throw. The trouble is, I've not yet been able to get it to come back - which is a bit of a flaw in a boomerang! I've thrown it around the garden and it looks like it starts to turn, at about 20m, but then just falls to the ground.I will take it to a really wide open space, at some point, to see if a really hard throw will make the difference but, as a kids toy, it's a bit pointless as a boomerang. You could use it to throw between players but the shape would make it hard to catch.It gets points for style but loses them for functionality.At £14.99, at time of review, I think it's somewhat overpriced too.
