Little Master Kipling: The Jungle Book (BabyLit): A BabyLit® Animals Primer (BabyLit Classics) Board book – Picture Book, 10 April 2014

Absolutely love this book and after just a few days I have ordered more in the series. I read this to my 8 week old son and he enjoyed the pictures. It's not a shortened version of the jungle book, but an introduction to animals using jungle book as the theme. Each double page has an animal one, the type of animal and a little sentence regarding the jungle book character. I also love that the book is quite dark compared to the bright baby board books you normally get, the colours are navy, dark green, etc. Overall a really good idea, well drawn, as well sturdy pages, makes it a great buy!

If you're a lit junkie and have a baby, these are amazing! I now have 7 different ones and love them all!(Just a note ... I haven't purchased any of the colour primer books as they use the American spelling of 'colour' and I'm from England - nothing wrong with it, just thought it was worth a mention).

Definitely a winner. My 22 month old daughter LOVES this book. It's bright, colourful, and holds my daughter's interest. Among the best BabyLit titles, in my opinion.

Although I suspect possibly more for the parent than the child, but beautiful colours and artwork; this is more of a picture book since it has no story to read as such.

Very basic book, not much like the jungle book story and very short. My kid who loves books didn't like it much.
