I ordered this Mellif belt sander after watching a review on YouTube, by Dean Docherty.~It uses LFT 18 volt Makita batteries, and came with a selection of different grit sanding belts, and a dustbag.I don't think this is a professional quality tool, but for diy use, especially if you already use Makita batteries, it represents great value for money.

Brought this sander February and after a few uses this item has packed up and not working and smells like it has burnt out

First of all its very handy , and the fact it takes Makita batteries, but it’s not the most powerful belt sander, even with a full battery,On the other hand I’m happy with it , But Makita should be making one of these themselves

This sander is perfect for scribing in fillers in kitchens and built-in furniture. It is well made and not heavy in the hand.

Keeps having false contact with any battery - works 10 seconds then stops - then randomly starts again - tool is pretty much unusable…

Not a very good one, but the same as you pay for what you get
