These capsules are tiny, requiring no effort at all to swallow. They have no flavor atall.They are chelated which should improve bioavailability. (absorbency????) Consumption along with meals should improve that further but please consider the other foods in that meal. Acidic foods should improve absorption further.One limitation is the quantity of green vegetables in the meal. Oxalates, phosphates, and a few other components of vegetables are considered to be anti-nutrients, blocking the absorption of many minerals.Very few people are deficient in zinc and excess zinc blocks the absorption of iron and copper. Common recommendations are 40 mg per day. These capsules each provide 50 mg. That should not be a problem if one does NOT consume this product every day.Zinc bioavailability seems to decline with age while iron and copper may accumulate to harmful levels. It is safe to consume one capsule per day.For other reasons, my wife and I consume 2 capsules on one day out of 4 and we have not encountered problems with any blood or urine test.DO NOT consume these if you wear false teeth. Some creams used as adhesives MAY already deliver an unsafe level of zinc.There is a homeopathic supplement claimed to prevent colds that itself delivers a questionable excess of zinc, especially when administered multiple times per day. One should not mix products driven by science (as above) with unregulated faith-healing products like homeopathy.

I was diagnosed with a Zinc deficiency 18 months ago. I am happy to report that I've been taking one of these per day since that time and my zinc levels are now normal. This formula with 100 mg. and the price is a great formulation and value. I highly recommend it.

Good product fair price. Remember 100 mg is not beyond daily allowance when only 20% is elemental which means that is how much that is absorbed. So you will only be getting 20 mg in your system not 100 mg. Most companies do not share that info even when I contacted the seller of a brand that I purchased from a lot of products they told me that it was a secret there proprietary blend. Blah blah blah. So I buy this one now. But just don't think you're overdosing you're not I see a lot of reviews how people are saying what the heck this is way too much not on this product but other products so do your research the key word is elemental. much easier to swallow these capsules than tablets

This is a homeopathic supplement.

I take 25mg zinc daily and usually get 50mg since 25mg are often hard to find. 50mg oblong tabs are easy to beak in half. I can use a pill splitter on round 50mg but cutting a 100mg round tablet into fourths doesn’t work for me. I don’t know if taking one 100mg tablet once a week would be an alternative.
