Dimplex M-011B Opti-Myst Electric Fire Heater Glass Disk Transducer

I did a fair bit of research with regards to the possible causes of the sudden poor performance I was having with my opti-myst fire and, despite the variance of the faults listed, the most common cure of them all was the replacement of the transducer. Everything else in my fire worked fine. It had no calcium build up, the fan could be heard working. I didn't try replacing the transducers internal disc, just went for the straight replacement of the transducer. One thing is for sure, the transducer is expensive and has a limited working life but at least now, when the winter nights arrive, I'll have a nice cosy fire working as it should.

So far so good and it appears to be working correctly. I previously ordered a cheaper non brand one and it only worked for a couple of days. This one has lasted longer so I 'm hopeful with this one.

Brought my Dimplex fire back to life!Arrived within 24 hours too which was unexpected but appreciated!Did all the usual stuff, gave it all a good clean, checked the fan was running etc and seemed that it was most likely that the transducter had packed in as it’s been patchy at misting up for a few months now and recently just stopped altogether (it’s had the original in since 2017 so not fared too badly!)So easy to swap out the old for the new although it’s not exactly the same as the original (missing the part that sticks out underneath to keep it in place so the wire doesn’t cross over the top of it) but regardless it’s worked and I’m all set for a cosy Autumn!Read other reviews saying it doesn’t last half as long as the original that came with the fire so I hope I’m not amending this in a couple of months time!Going to look at how to replace the disk in the transducter as it’s probably cheaper than buying a new thing each time, but that can wait for another day as I’ve got to put my feet up by the fire now!🔥** Update (exactly one year later) - fire stopped working after a year of use with the replacement part, would light up then click off as soon as the mist was supposed to begin. Bought again and the problem has solved again, so it looks like it has around a 12 month life which isn’t terrible but not as good as the original which lasted about 4 years. Regardless we’re working again so I’m happy, will actually look into learning how to replace the disk for next time!

The media could not be loaded. I wanted an M011B and bought from the Dimplex shop because i wanted the correct genuine part. when i received it , i plugged it in and it just spits water all over. On inspection i have received RM - 1220A.I thought ok, i will contact them, 4 attempts i have made on there contact page which when you get to the end wont submit. Very poor.

Wonderful, having the flames back makes a cosy lounge.

Although expensive, the original equipment transducer works much better than the cheaper copies

Perfect replacement for an optimyst fire. Easy to install but slightly different to the original dimplex one. Keep your old one as it has a small metal guide at the bottom ( rectangular piece of metal ) . This will show you how to position your new one so it matches the original.
