This device is amazing - worth every penny (and your time).
I considered some of the less costly offerings but in the end I realized I was going to put a half-day's labor into its installation, took a deep breath (I'm very thrifty) and elected to buy a product that would respect my time. I'm not disappointed. The APCOM recirculation pump has brass fitting and what appears to be a steel pump body (I didn't check it pretty heavy to be aluminum). The product includes all the hardware needed for an installation in North America. While I'm sure the chrome on the fittings make them more durable, I was a little frustrated the plating was thick enough to require an adjustable wrench (which it does say in the instructions) instead of my Snap-ons. I have none of these knuckle-busting, nut-rounding potential projectiles in my tool box but fortunately my ol' lady isn't so curmudgeonly and was able to come to my rescue with a nice collection she hides from me somewhere in my own garage. The pump itself is pretty quiet, but vibrates the floor of my cabinet that I can hear it in the room next door where I keep my office. I did not elect to screw the pump body to the floor of the cabinet, but there are holes in the mount to do just that. It sits just fine without - but the peculiarities of my home may force me to buy four screws and rubber pads. I'm not sure why they didn't install (what I assume are check valves - on is position marked) instead of depending on your reading the instructions. If you're like me and have the battle cry "I don't read instructions, I write them!" It helps to know I'm an engineer. Do yourself a favor and match the brass fittings with the red paint on them. Finally, this comes with a single page, well written instruction sheet but in ENGLISH ONLY (not a criticism). I suppose if you're a Spanish speaker you could get one of your kids to read it to you; it's very straight-forward. I don't know how to recommend this product more.Update after a few days... I sacrificed a silicon trivet to place under the pump (no screws). Perfection! The cabinet no longer resonates and it absolutely cannot be heard. I think I paid $9 for a set of four here on Amazon (Premium Silicone Trivet Mats: 4 Multi-Purpose Pot Holder, Oven Mitts Hot Pads– Versatile, Heat Resistant, Non-Slip Jar Opener, Gripper Pad, Garlic Peeler, Drying Mat, Coaster - Heavy-Duty (Black))

Fabulous System. Great Buy
First of all, you need to realize that I rarely write reviews, however, I found that this under sink hot water pump system is certainly worthy of my high praise.First of all, it was incredibly easy to install, especially with the use of the YouTube video as put together by the manufacturer.Next, it works flawlessly. We found that we can have it run for as little as five minutes and the unit brought up hot water that use to have us run the water in the shower for at least five minutes.I would, however, recommend that you only use the system for five minute periods since the cold water can get warmed up if it runs for much longer, at least that was our experience. We have bypassed using the timer and have used our Alexa app. We created a routine where always say is "Alexa, start the hot water pump for five minutes." That greatly settles the issue of having warm water for more than just a few seconds in the cold water line. Of course, I realize that this may vary by anybody’s individual home.Overall, it’s a five star system, and it saved us quite a bit of money on wasting water down the drain while waiting for the hot water in our shower. Kudos to APCOM.

Installation not quite so simple
I put the pump under the farthest bathroom sink. Fastening it down was awkward as has been pointed out previously. In the end I made a template from a piece of 1 x 4 to help drill accurate holes into the cabinet floor, and used hex head screws so I could get a small socket on the front screws. I also put a piece of self-adhesive rubber sheet under the pump in case of noise or vibration from the pump.Next problem was my faucet connection to the shut off valve was a crimped Pex fitting so I couldn't connect the Tee to the shut-off valve. In the end, I left the faucet connection as was, but disconnected it from the faucet and attached the Tee-piece to the faucet connector, then used the supplied hoses to connect to the faucet and back to the Tee.The pump runs quietly and smoothly, and reduces the mount of time to wait for hot water. I am using the timer so that it is not running all day.

Excellent product. Easy to install and works so much better than our original tank mounted pump.
Very quick to install. Took longer to add electrical outlet than pump install (and I’m an electrician).

Worked great until the timer quit after 6 months - no warranty on products
Unit worked great for 6 months, then the timer stopped working and won't click on so it only functions in an on-all-the-time mode. Warranty service is non-existent as Apcom says to contact the distributor (AO Smith) and AO Smith says to contact APcom. If your looking for a water recirculation pump, I'd strongly suggest a different manufacture that can stand behind their product.
