Nice kit
This kit was exactly what I needed to make six custom sized straps. The buckles are plastic, but sturdy. There was plenty of strapping for our project. My biggest fear was not having enough of the strap — but it worked for us.

Quality Components for Kayak Renovation Project
All the strapping components needed for a Kayak renovation project. I replaced the hatch straps and handles on an old Necky Spike kayak and this kit had all the components in one set and at a reasonable price compared to the other options on Amazon. See the pictures attached. I could have purchased more robust products (buckles, straps, and triglides) separately, but at a considerable cost increase. This kit provided the best overall compromise in one single, affordable purchase. For that reason I would have given this product 5 stars. The straps are reasonably robust, however they fall short of the 0.06 inches in thickness and measure 0.053 inches in thickness and 0.98 inches in width by caliper. The buckles and triglides are decent quality, but time will tell as I will be taking this kayak in salt water and it will be subject to the intense UV we have here in the Southeastern US. I'll will come back and update this review in the future if I experience any issues. Since it's not in the product description, the INNER width (where the strap goes) of the buckles and triglides is right around 1.01 inches. The "no sewing" of the buckles is definitely a valid claim, and as you can see in the pictures, I added the triglides where the strap meets the attachment point. I also added a triglide behind each buckle for added security. The buckle keeps the strap adequately taught when in place, however in the water, if I need to access the hatch, I don't want the buckle completely slipping through the strap. I could have sewn a stop in the strap by doubling it up, but a triglide works as well. The straps are still adjusted quite easily by tilting and sliding each side of the buckle.Note that the two strap handles in the pictures, with the 5/8" inner diameter PVC reinforced poly tubing covers, were sewn on the ends with Tex 69 (12wt) polyester bonded thread for outdoor use. The ends were fed through the tubing, doubled over, and then sewn together with a simple cross thread pattern. To pass the bolts through, the doubled area I marked the hole location, placed the straps over the holes, and used a simple soldering iron at 250C to burn a hole through the straps. Then I fed the screws through and secured them. Doubling and sewing the ends and burning the screw hole to melt the polyethylene here is key to ensure strength. The Kayak is easily lifted with the new strap handles attached. Alternatively, I could have used two more tri-glides for each handle to accomplish the doubling of the strap, but the tube grips would have had to have been shortened.Overall a good product for this application. Time will tell how resistant they are to the elements. I do wish the vendor would have doubled the number of tri-glides they included.

Great for custom length strap sets
Great set for making custom length buckle strap sets. The clips are thick and durable. The strap can be cut to any length and then sealed by melting with a flame to prevent fraying.

Great! Ordering more!
What cha see is what cha get! Haha. But no really, this was all good quality. I don't use these often, but when I do, I love how easy these are to install. I'd suggest everyone get these as they come in surprisingly handy. I've used them from strapping things down on my bike, bundling things in cars, emergency belts, replacement bag straps, and more.I swear these things are related to usb sticks though, I usually have to undo the straps twice before it all sits right. This has nothing to do with the product itself, but it can be easy to get twisted up when dealing with straps. Lol.
