Color accurate, easy to apply
I used this to stain some 2x12 inch maple boards being used as shelf risers inside of a cabinet. Honestly, I just bought this product because it was the cheapest all-in-one stain I could find. I was pleased with the result. The color was exactly as pictured in the Amazon listing, a dark warm walnut. I put on 4 coats and waited 2 hours in between each. It is a milky color when it’s wet but dries clear. You definitely need multiple coats to get a rich color. This product worked well for my small project. The color ended up matching the stain inside my cabinet perfectly.

The dark walnut takes a lot of coats!
Picture above shows original color of prestained, not sanded seat in the rim just under the cushion, and 6 coats of Dark Walnut on the lower portion of the seat. (I'm obviously not finished with the project.)I've been using Dark Walnut on 2 projects: stripped + sanded chair legs (not pictured) and a prestained not sanded vanity seat (pictured above). The unstained sanded legs required 3 coats to get close to the color of my dining table; I really should do at least one more coat to match. The cover-up job on the vanity seat was going over a very old light French provincial stain. It needs 6 coats to get there. This stuff works but it is very very light/sheer. And If you wipe it with a cloth, you wipe away the varnish shine. I'm cheap and having bought this, wasn't going to waste it and buy another stain that would work better. If I had to do it over again, I'd start with a different product. But now that I'm committed to this color, I'll probably be buying more.

Works great!
I got this stain in dark walnut to finish a wine rack I got (also from Amazon). I used a sponge and the whole project took me less than an hour. I’m not a patient person and was pretty liberal with the stain, and that meant my sponge absorbed a fair bit of it. So, if I had gone slower and with more care, I definitely could have stretched the tin further (I ended up using about half of it). I’d also maybe use a foam roller if I were to do this again. Anyway, it looks great! I went back in with a small paintbrush to fill in areas I missed with the sponge. I’m so pleased. Also, I am not a crafty person — so if I can do this, so can you!

Nice finish, quite dark
This is a dark reddish brown stain. I was surprised by the colour, but I think that's mainly because I didn't pay enough attention when I was buying. It was very easy to apply and the frame I was finishing looks very nice. It was very quick drying and didn't need more than one quick coat. I am quite pleased with it.

Easy, excellent results.
Read and followed the instructions and even after one coat of product I was really satisfied. I've been using an assortment of exterior stains (Minwax) and found that this was an excellent choice. Very odorless, great color saturation for my applications. I will use again.
