I bought these to replace a broken one on my Toogh 3-4 man 60 sec pop up tent pictured above.They would not readily slide off even after sliding a cresent wrench along the pole and trying to hammer them off.The old ones were locked on with a molded in key so they won't pull off. Good design if you never brake them.I first took a marking pen and drew a straight line on the inside of the elbow on the fiberglass pole just so I could orientate the new joint like the old one was.I then ground the broken one on 1 side with a belt sander down to the fiberglass pole.Be careful not to grind on the pole to much or it will weaken it.I just ground one side but it would make it easier if you ground it down on both sides180 degress apart.Pry the pole out from the damaged joint, the keyway kinda held it on.Line up the new one with your marker line and push the new one in all the way and Bob's your uncle.

Price is high for job performance. Using it for a small project and the cost leaves me to look for similar product, better price… ugg

Just in case anyone is trying to find an 11mm connector, this is NOT, this is smaller than 11mm. There wasn't a description of the size pole that this connector supports when I ordered in April of 2024.

I thought we would have to scrap the entire tent but these came to the rescue.

Was very pleased with the product it was able to repair a tent with a broken joint only took minor modifications to make it fit I am very pleased and would recommend this if you have the similar joint on your tent that is broken.

The media could not be loaded. The holes are way to small for my tent poles. I will be returning the 4 connectors.

I liked the idea of these but I misunderstood the dimensions and the didn’t fit my tent poles. They were too small, for use with smaller tent poles.

I don’t anticipate needing these while under optimal conditions - at home, in the garage, with a full range of supplies available. These will be needed in filed while whatever just failed is being used. Nature of the beast. If you’re partaking in these types of activities you need to channel your inner MacGyver and have the ability to improvise and modify to fit the situation. I’ve got a few pop-up type items and have wondered what I’d use of one failed while I’m dispersed and miles from anywhere. These give a little piece of mind that I e got something in the parts box that, one way or another, will come in handy and help keep something useable for at least the duration of a trip until something more permanent can be done - if necessary. These will certainly come in handy when and if that situation arises.
