Good bulbs that are significantly brighter than the stock bulbs. The trade off is a bit shorter lifespan. They are cheaper than hitting a deer at night. Wear latex disposable gloves when you handle them. The oils in your skin will make the bulb overheat and burn out. Learned that the hard way 50 years ago.

Update to my review: It has been almost 2 years since I bought these bulbs, they are still going strong and still pretty bright. I do admit I don't do a whole lot of night driving, but I do drive at night and I live in a rural area, they have definitely helped me to see deer and other wildlife to avoid hitting them. These are some of the first Phillips bulbs I have ever bought and I can say with certainty, I will only ever buy Phillips brand. I am actually about to buy some more for another car I just recently bought and I'm not happy with the halogen headlights that are currently in it.I bought these for 2011 Dodge Durango, to replace my stock bulbs. After reading reviews I was a bit hesitant but decided to go ahead and try them because the price was definitely better then if I had went to an auto parts store to buy bulbs. Honestly, I'm so glad I did buy them.They are not as bright as LED or HID, but they are definitely better then stock. They are also "whiter" then stock. I live in a very rural area where there isn't many streetlights and wildlife in or beside the road is a common occurrence, and having these bulbs has really made a difference and has helped me to see wildlife to avoid them.So in my opinion, if you are wanting headlight bulbs that will improve visibility without having to change the entire headlight assembly for LED or HID, I would definitely recommend these. I would definitely buy these again.

Work way better than Sylvania ones that local places sell. Longevity is also a plus as ive had these on for well over a 1 yearsl and they havent dimmed yet or shown any wear and tear.

UPDATE - Lasted 9 months.I have only had these for a couple weeks so I can't speak much about longevity. I put these in to replace the factory 9005 halogen high beam lamps in my Forester XT. The old lamps had become very dim. These are a huge improvement. They are brighter than the factory lamps were when I got the car. According to Bulbfacts they are 2% brighter than stock halogen lamps. They are also 3800k color temperature so much closer match to the HID low beams. The annoying two color view, when the high beams are on, is gone.

Update: after less than a month (by about the 3rd week) one of the lights is noticeably dimmer. By the time I realized it wasn’t my eyes playing tricks on me (because I truly couldn’t believe one of them was starting to crap out after a month) I missed the return window by 2 days. I’m not happy about having to purchase a whole new set of bulbs, instead of returning or exchanging. 0 stars for longevity 😒These claim to be white and offer brighter/more visibility, none of which I noticed. They at least don’t have that soft white, almost yellowish hue (which is what I didn’t want). But they also don’t have that clean, bright white look. In terms of increased visibility I haven't noticed

3 Stars because the lights are probably fine its the product description that needs some work. These lights 9005 are ONLY high beam. They will not fit low beam on an 08 Civic Ex. Low beams are 9006. I am aware that I am partly responsible for this fitment issue. However product description reads "High beam, Low beam, Fog Positions" and Amazon vehicle fitment check shows that they do fit (which is technically correct). I marked it up as a learning experience.Anyway, I would guess the lights are great if you need high beams. I had no problems returning the item and ordering the correct replacement.
