Best tackle box for the price!
This box is just great, if you you don't want a bunch of plastic pull out trays that come with many tackle boxes these days. It does come with molded cradles in the bottom for two small plastic trays, not included with this box. It opens up into three stepped trays with good storage possibilities. The bottom allows room for larger items such as spare reels, spools of line, bait in containers, or tools. the two small storage units on top of the box allow for quick access to terminal tackle. It's the six gun of the tackle box world these days, but I love it. It's also rugged enough to take a beating and not break. The lid will open if it's not latched and potentially spill all the contents, one time doing that years ago and I learned to not be stupid in that department again. Learn from my mistake grasshopper. Also the lifting handle can be used as a prop under the open lid so the weight of the three trays doesn't tip the box over if there isn't enough weight in the bottom. I own four of these units and use two of them for fishing and two for small tool storage. The possibilities are numerous for what these boxes are good for.

Great, but take heed
The single issue with this box is the small little footing where the legs rest to support the trays when you extend the tray system fully outward. This box makes no accomodations for anyone who is not using it for fishing. I am using it for electronic component and soldering equipment, which you would think might be a comparable weight to fishing gear, but unfortunately I have to shift my gear around and decide what goes where with a careful thought for keeping only lighter items on the top two shelves. So, when I open it up, I have to ensure that those two little feet are resting on those little footing spots just right, because if you have the weight distributed wrong and you miss that footing, you might end up cracking the plastic of the tray arms. The only other negative I have to say is that some of the trays have a blindspot, where smaller things can hide from your site a little too much. You will want all the same part of thing in each compartment, so you won't always be able to eyeball what you are looking for if you have a variety of small things in a cell in the lower tray. It's not a big deal at all though. That is all I had bad to say about this product. Otherwise it follows very logical design principals. The trays opening to one side creates a distinct workflow that I really like, whereby I can be to either side of this with the lowest part closest to me, and see and view all the parts clearly (once I adjusted for those minor blind spots). The external shell material feels like some kind of fiberglass, and I think that provides a sense of quality, along with the no-fuss style single hinge and latch system. The top compartments are a cool bonus, but you may need to brainstorm which parts make the most sense to have more acessible when it's closed but less accessible when it's open. For me these are the final items of my clean up, such as my flashlight, soldering bits, small watch-type screwdrivers, and small clamps. I think these are easily some of the most logical items to go into an odd area like that. So, my favorite things about this are how much of my mess it packs up into a reasonable space with a lot of compartments for separating parts, and how reliable the latch and hinge construction are. At some point in every dude's life he ends up with a toolbox that won't latch because some designer needed to make the latch look more plastic and modern. All-plastic latches are garbage though and you should avoid them like the plague. While you may be at risk for snapping some small plastic parts inside if you don't extend the trays carefully, this should not be the case for any of the external hardware. When this thing is closed and latched-up, I am confident it could survive abuse equivalent to being beaten with a hollow plastic bat, but I am curious if it could withstand falling from the top of a car if you were to forget it was there and drive off. I think that might be asking too much of this price point, but this should hold just fine to mild abuse if you just take caution when opening it. I am curious of the clear panels on top would crack easier than the actual shell, but I am not up for whacking it until it cracks. This product should suit your needs better than some of the other boxes that flaunt more eye-catching features. Less moving parts means less breaking parts. That should be true of any tackle box or tool box. I feel like I bought the right one. My gripes don't hinder this box from functioning for my needs at all. My favorite part though is how much space is in the bottom part. I have all my soldering gear as well as my faux finish painting gear and a lot of other stuff I don't need to see often but also don't want to get rid of.

Great quality and plenty of space.
Good value, good quality. I was using a combo of older tackle boxes with the kids. Wanted to consolidate into something bigger. Pic shows what this thing holds when going from those three smaller ones, which were full. I could even fit the bottom half of that single tray 'kids' tackle box in the bottom as a bobber tray. I havent even put anything in those compartments on top of the lids. Seems that most the other tackle boxes are holders for stacks of storage cases with their own lids. I don't like the extra step of taking a container out of my box, then having to open that container. I like these old school boxes where you have access to everything in one step. This one is a great version of those.

All you need for a very reasonable price
I bought this tackle box initially due to the bargain price and size, seeing as I had a huge amount of lures and miscellaneous equipment I wanted to be able to store in one place. Boy, It was even more spacious than it looked and I was very surprised by the high quality and durability. I was able to fit an unbelievable amount of equipment in this tackle box, from hard lures of all different shapes and sizes, spools, boxes of weights, hooks, softbaits (the bottom compartment of the tackle box is surprisingly huge) and pretty much everything I’d ever need all in one place for fishing fresh or saltwater. I would recommend this to any angler who wants to stay versatile and be able to easily transport a wide selection of tackle wherever they need to go

Heavy Duty
I was searching all over for a tackle box that would suit my needs and found this one. I actually use this as a medical kit. It helps me sort out everything in the kit perfectly and has more than adequate storage for all of the medical supplies inside. When it's packed, it's quite heavy. I've thrown (literally) this box around a ton, and it still looks brand new.I've used it frequently without much of an issue. Occasionally, the top doesn't line up perfectly with the base the first time you're trying to shut it after use, but that's minor for what I use it for. It could be a defect in my box, or the fact that I've thrown it around but it doesn't bother me.Whatever you choose to use this for - a medical kit, hobby kit, or its intended use as a tackle box - I don't think you'll be disappointed with purchasing this one.

Great beginner tackle box that just might end up being used forever! This is a great product purchased for a grandchild starting out his fishing career. He loves it and so does his father and grandma! Super fast shipping too!
