Fixed my problems!
Thank you so much! Very simple installation and fixed my problems right away, was a little worried I might’ve did something wrong but plugged it in and both cymbals worked right away! 5 stars

Absolutely WONDEFUL - a Life Saver for our boys and an EASY INSTALLATION
I wanted to THANK you for the great service and quick mailing of these replacement wires. This is a life saver for our 3 boys who have the Guitar Hero. I received the package VERY quickly and was able to replace the parts in a mere 10 minutes. There are soooooo many websites that tell you that you have to buy a whole new drum set. I was not only able to save money on this (rather than buying a new drum set) AND it came very quickly. Beleive me, if I know anyone who has Guitar Hero or Rockband I will recommend these :) Mark H. saved me from buying a new drum set
this piece is a must have if you own the guitar hero wt drums. don't bother calling the manufacturer because they don't have replacement parts like this one, they just tell you that you have to buy a new drum set. well they're wrong!! a broken cymbal cable is pretty common, specially if you have young children who don't know that turning the cymbal 360 will break it. i actually tried to repair it myself based on stuff i saw online.. i failed miserably, i have! no electrical experience and no proper tools so im surprised i even tried.. but this little cable is pre-made! it saves you time, and headaches. it's awesome and 5 dollars per fix is probably cheaper than if you had to buy the tools and the material to fix it yourself. definitely a must have.

Great repair kit!!!
While searching for a replacment kit for my 4 boys, I came across this product instead. Our 3 year old thought it would be fun to tear the wires out of the cymbals and even though I was able to reapir one of them by splicing a new plug on, it never worked as well. Thought I'd give the repair kit a try and I am glad I did. It takes a little long to unscrew all the screws and remove and replace the wires, about 1.5 hours, and even though there are no directions, it is easy to figure out. Just be carefull when removing the wire plug from the unit not to put to much pressure on the mother board. Worked like a charm. the kids are back drumming like Tommy Lee and I have electrical taped the wires down with minimal slack so he does not tear them out again. Give this a try before you spend over a $100 on a new drum kit.

Saved lots of money
Like many people, the orange cymbal on my Guitar Hero drum set suddenly stopped working. It is a common problem, and you can read about all the woes on the internet. Most of the proposed solutions fall into one of two camps. 1) Buy a new drum set. 2) Get out your soldering gun and prepare to do some home electrical repair.I didn't like either of these options, as I have neither the money for a new drum set nor a soldering gun (nor electrical repair skills). But I took a gamble on this replacement wire, figuring it was cheap enough to give it a try. And if it fixed the problem, all the better.Swapping out the cord was not as easy as I thought. This isn't a "plug-and-play" official replacement part. It involves taking apart the entire drum set, and mucking about with the circuit boards a bit, and a fair spread of time. There are no directions, but it is easy enough to follow where the new cord is supposed to go, but you have to be careful. I bent the wires the first time I tried to attach it, and I was afraid that I had accidently destroyed the whole thing.Even lacking skills, I managed to get the new cord attached, and the drum set back together. And what do you know? The orange cymbal works again! I was shocked, but happy.A neither quick nor easy solution. But cheaper than buying a new drum set!

Replacement wires did not work
This was a total waste of money. The new wires were installed for my broken cymbals on the drum kit, and they did not work at all! I am pretty angry. I ended up going out to Gamestop and buying a whole new drum kit for $50. Don't waste your money on these "replacement wires". And yes, they were put in correctly more than once. Total BS

Well thought out replacement.
The kit I received had a tool inside to help facilitate the change of the two wires. They do require removal of the entire back(bottom) of the drum set to replace the wires. The wires need to be routed through the cymbal pillars, but after the wires are run through the tubes it is a matter of just plugging the two wires into a receptacle and putting the back in place. After that they worked like new, we were glad to find these as the drum sets and parts are becoming more and more of a rare find these days. Works great and I am sure we will have it for another few years now thanks to these cables.

Thanks to these wires, our family band once again has a drummer!
Our family loves playing the Guitar Hero/Band Hero type games, so we were really bummed when the orange cymbal suddenly stopped working. The wire leading to the cymbal was very corroded. Luckily I found a Youtube video showing how to replace the original cheap, thin wire with a better quality, longer lasting wire. This is the wire they used in the video, and I ordered it with high hopes. The installation went exactly like they showed in the video and was relatively easy. I am thrilled to report that the cymbal now works perfectly, and we are back to drumming to our hearts' content. Although only one of the cymbals wasn't working, we replaced both so we don't have a problem with it in the future. I highly recommend this product..
