Q: How long do they last?

This is a large candle at 26 ounces. I have been lighting my Village Candle since December, 2016 around Christmas. If you burn it for two to three hours let it cool after blowing the frame out then cut the wick down to about a quarter inch each time you burn it. This gives you a nice clean burn from the candle. I'd say so far my candle has burned about 75 hours and I have probably half of my candle remaining. So it burns about 150 plus hours. I hope this has helped.

Q: Does this candle have any harmful chemicals?

Any candle made with paraffin contains petro-chemicals... So yes, it does.

Q: Do the Village Candles burn down evenly?

The jar candle shown, has twin wicks and both should be lighted. If you allow the candle to burn no less than 2 hours or so, the entire top layer will melt to liquid and the candle will burn evenly. If you only allow it to burn a short time with each use, you will get a deep well in the middle and wax around the outsides (wasted). The candle shown will burn over 180 hours and you will have about 1/4' of wax in the bottom of the jar. I remove this and the wick holders, and use them in a wax melter for additional scent. I love these candles! Can you tell?

Q: Is this highly pine scented?

I think it's more of an "ever green" smell, kind of like walking the the forest rather than straight pine. Some pine, to me, stinks like a public bathroom, not this one, it is is an extremely nice scent! It's a strong candle. I love it, have been buying this for many years for the holidays and really enjoy it. I originally bought the "other" brand, but their scent seemed to get weak, besides, the Village candles cost less!! I would recommend this candle for anyone who wants their home to smell like they have a real tree. Hope this helps.
