Q: I noticed that the Hedgehogs have thumbs separate from the rest of the fingers. Can they hold objects intended for the duplo or playmobil people?

I just took a look for you at my Pickleweed Hedgehogs and I gathered a few random Playmobil items- Yes! The hedgehogs can even fit perfectly on the backs of the Playmobil horses, can hold most sized guns, and a sack of gold that came with a Western Bank Set from Playmobil. They work perfectly with Playmobil houses- even better than the Calico Critter houses. They can fit through Playmobil sized doors, and are approx the same height. They can sit in most, but not all, Playmobil chairs. If you have any more questions or questions about specific Playmobil furniture and If they work with the hedgehogs- please let me know and I will respond back within a day. Happy to help you out :-)

They are the hard with fuzzy coating type.

Q: Are all of the products a choking hazard? I’d like to start my 12 month old niece on the collection.

Hi there. I don't think these are appropriate for a 12 month old. The clothes all come off and the critters, themselves, are made of fuzzy material. Not great for a baby to put in their mouth. Hope that helps. I buy these for my 5 year old and 8 year old nieces.

Q: How tall are the individual critters?

The babies are about 2 inches. The bigger ones are about 3 inches. Adorable and loved by boy and girl children ( and adults)
