Great product. It’s very to use and gets easier as you go along and get practice. I highly recommend the Kaizen adjustable depth knife with quick replace/snap off blades! This made all the difference. I purchased the long tip markers for this application but didn’t need them. I used the knife to trace the tools. The work illustrated took about 2 1/2 hours. The underside cut/removed areas are not particularly smooth but it holds the tools very securely and looks great from the top. I highly recommend this product.

This was great foam for the job. Trace your tools & cut the foam for a perfect fit during organization. Seems durable.

Not the end of the world, pretty annoying it wasn’t cut accurately. The foam seems durable and high quality though, so I’ll live with it.

This is perfect for custom toolbox/chest storage and organization. Can be cut with a box cutter/knife or laser cutter! Shipped well too.

I bought this to line a carry case for a fixture I had machined. I needed it to be a snug fit so my fixture wouldn't get dinged up or damaged. Worked great for my purpose! I did have trouble peeling the layers apart like others had mentioned, so I just went slow and worked the layers apart with my finger tip. The bottom of the cavity isn't quite dead flat but it shouldn't hurt anything. I bought the knife they sell also since I didn't have anything with a thin, long blade. It worked great too!

There are other reviews where people have complained about the layers not separating. I used some of this foam for a large tool. I experienced some trouble when attempting to separate some of the layers but after using careful prying with a fingernail I was able to get most of it out. On the flip side I was able to use a razor from a utility knife to cut the shape somewhat easily. I would rate this higher if the layers were easier to separate but for the cost, I will not complain.

I started out tracing the tool out with a pen then switched to a new blade and just trimming right around the tool. Foam cuts like butter with a good razor. Easy to peel out layers, only had one spot I went too deep on but was my fault. Definitely will look around and find an excuse to order more!
