Rocketbook Smart Reusable Notebook, Flip Executive Size Spiral Notebook, Green, (6" x 8.8"")

I bought this as a gift from my mom. She absolutely loves this What a great way to keep notes other than your phone. It is lightweight and beautiful. It is easy to go and anyone's purse and a really cool way to draw or take notes

I was on the fence and very much love this notebook. I’m often bringing a notebook to a clients home, taking measurements and putting them in their file. I also use a lot of paper at work whether to jot down notes, figure out dimensions or design something. This makes it very easy to upload and save a file to a folder so I don’t loose it. It also makes me visit the recycling bin a LOT less. Now, are the pens perfect? No. They’re decent when scanned in, just no where near as pretty as they are in person in the notebook. In the notebook if you erase quickly you’ll get a smudge but if you wait a second it’s fine. If you erase sometimes you need to wipe your finger over that area to remove any residue so the pen glides smoothly after but then again you’d do that with a pencil eraser anyway so the only difference is you can’t see this to realize that’s the issue that causes inconsistent writing. Now, the frixion pen that comes with it is awful, but the ones you buy are 10x better and I have no idea why. Now if you buy the fineliner markers they’re even better and I therefore find myself using those most of the time. The colors are not nearly as vibrant though so I stick to darker colors. So if you need bright colors and super pigmented colors or you need a flawless surface and scan, this isn’t for you. If you’re practical and can deal with some things that aren’t perfect for a nice trade off of the ability to scan and keep a document as well as save paper, then this is for you. Just remember too that the frixion pens are temperature sensitive so if you’re in a hot climate or extreme cold then I also wouldn’t recommend as it’ll disappear on you until it’s in a normal temperature again. I live in New England and I’ve had no problem.

There is only 2 negatives I have about this product. 1-my 1st time writing on it & taking a picture, the writing does not look smooth at all. 2-when wiping clean it bleed through the other side & the page looks like there are smears. Of course this was the first time I used it. So in all I absolutely love the idea and the way this product works. I bought one for my daughter who is going back to nursing school. I like that I can organize all my writing and it is very handy at my job. That fact that I don't have to waste paper & then remembering to shred the paper. I can easily wipe away any private information, is great. I love that it flips on the to, it's so comfortable to write on. It's a great gift to get kids for school. I plan on getting a bigger one. It's not heavy to lug around and if I carry one of my bigger purse I can just put ti in there. I definitely will be getting the value out of this product. One thing to the manufacturer, please add a pocket for the cloth. Maybe the planner one you can do the top spiral instead of on the side. Would be nice. Again great job & love this product.

At first, I was skeptical that I would get much use out of it since you have to scan the qr code in order to save it electronically, and I just didn't see myself wanting to take those extra steps. I do like that there is the option to do that, but what I actually find most useful is that it really is a re-useable notebook. No more ordering paper pads and causing waste. You can write a short quick note and then simply erase it with the back of the pen OR you can take several pages of notes and either just erase them with the cloth if you don't need them OR you can type up a summary from those notes and then erase them, OR you can use the qr code to make your notes electronic. My problem is that I have very poor handwriting, so I prefer to just type the parts of the notes that I want to save, rather than scan them in. Either way, it has many adaptable uses and it's good for the environment!

I've always fancied the idea of reusable notebook, but they are on the pricier side so I waited until I really needed it. I'm really more of a tech person and type everything, but with a recent shift, I've had to go back to the good ole pen and paper cause, well, you can't type out drawings or charts easily. I hesitated because I feared that it would not compare to writing on actual paper, and that the "erasing" part wouldn't actually work and once a page was used it wouldn't ever go back to being clean and reusable. And I'm so glad I was wrong and gave it a shot.I was fully expecting the paper to be more like a thicker plastic, and that ink would smear all over especially since Pilot pens tends to not dry as fast. But to my surprise, the paper was thin, it obviously has more plastic-y feeling than a sketchbook paper, but nothing uncomfortable. Really feels more like a smooth paper, but you shouldn't expect the pencil against paper feel.Ink not coming off the page was one concern, but there was absolutely no problem. Really, I give 5 out of 5 for the included microfiber cloth, honestly I use it to wipe down my mirror cause it cleans so well. Second concern was that I tend to press down a bit hard when I write, but the paper didn't really get dented. The second picture included is after ~5 times of using and erasing.Honestly, I'm all for this product because of how easy it is to scan and use this app. I'm not a big fan of paper everywhere, and even post-its. I just keep a folder on my desktop with the digital notes, and it's pretty damn legible on screen despite my terrible hand writing. My only complaint would be, I don't need that many destinations; it's nothing major but just don't really need it. But I can see why others might need the functionality.Overall, I'm pretty satisfied. The size is nice and sleek, just a little bit smaller than my laptop and it's light. I threw the notebook with my laptop in my bag, but the spring didn't scratch my laptop (it's softer plastic without any rough edges) so that's another plus. I probably won't run out of pages for a very long time, but would purchase again if needed!
