Why the led lamp is called 168led 100w plant lights?how much is the actual power?

It is called 100W lamp, which means that its lighting effect and brightness can be compared with 100W HPS lamp. Due to the use of LED energy-saving lamps, the energy saving efficiency can reach 85%-90%, so the actual power consumption is roughly 12-15W. can i plug this on a extension cord? or it has to be plugged directly on a wall socket?

SURE if you use a USB to AC adaptor like you charge cell phones with and has a standard USB port or outlet. So one side of the adaptor has a classic 2 or 3 prong AC plug the other side has at least one USB ports. I recommend going with 18Watt or 24Watt quality adaptor even if you plug directly into the wall AC outlet. Reason is many of the cheaper adaptors are danagerous and can melt down. Check negative reviews while searching for adaptors 18W or larger and if anyone at all has photos or complaints about melting pass and find ones that do not have that fire hazard. Also you could use most classic charge stations that sometimes has mulitple 2-8 USB ports. So it's kind of open here. I myself intend to use one of my 3 large lithium battery's that can be charged via Solar or AC or 12V to keep power to this year round for garden plants. I'm experimenting and if it works well I will add a second one. But was searching specific for a USB plant light so I could utilize my Rocksolar batteries and my Goal Zero 1400 all three. Otherwise in winter they are just left on trickle charge on our AC and never put to use. Seems like it would be neat if I could use them not just for camping and summer time outside lights and fans or power failures but also to contribute to the house and house plants. For this price with it's multiple umbrella like light and 80Watt draw it's perfect for my trial. Anyway an extension plug with a regular AC outlet end and the adaptor to acept the USB plug that's on this item should be fine. And the draw is so much less than direct AC grow lights of 80 to a couple of hundred watts. Not all of these of course have USB plugs.

What is the difference between the white lights, and the purple one? I have two of the white, but they nearly doubled in price, the purple r the same.

I am not sure of the difference, but this light has three different settings. Blue, Red, Purple and I use it on the winter when there is less sun. I don’t own a white one so I’m not sure. However this one keeps my plants healthy throughout the colder months due to being able to change the lighting and settings.
