I got hooked on Okonomiyaki during a stay in Japan, but rarely make it at home because it is just not the same without the real Okonomiyaki sauce that goes on it. There is no shop that sells the sauce in or near my town, so I have to make a special trip to Uwajimaya in Seattle to buy some. I looked at buying online, but the first 5 or 6 sites I looked at were really expensive, small bottles, with the shipping cost exceeding the cost of the items -- sometimes double! Then I found this gigantic bottle of OtaJoy Okonomi Sauce, priced very reasonably, with free shipping!! I was concerned that it might taste different than the other brand I had been using, but it is JUST as delicious. I won't have to make a trip to Uwajimaya for years. :) It got here quickly, well-packed too. Thank you.

I'm Japanese so I definitely need this sauce and this is more reasonable than I buy at Asian supermarkets.

I bought this large bulk bottle as a way to save money and reduce plastic use as I normally buy the smaller size bottle. I did a taste test and this large bottle does seem to have a thinner consistency. That said, it is a new bottle and it’s filled to the top so I wasn’t able to shake it up. I’m hoping that is the reason for it being thinner. Don’t get me wrong, it is still a delicious sauce!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This seemed valued price so I bought this here but I actually found this $5 cheaper at an Asian Market Store nearby.I always loved this brand when I was in Japan but this one tasted little more flavored and thick than what I remember. But overall, it's a good Okonomiyaki Sauce.Thickness:Little more thick than it is in Japan.Sauce quality:Little more flavor and salty than it is in Japan.

Tastes great on okonomiyaki. However, I discovered by accident that it's a great sauce for putting on meat and rice too. I think that the sauce that Waba Grill puts on their meat/rice dishes is actually okonomiyaki sauce, as the results taste very similar.

It's delicious. I was looking for Japanese Otafuku sauce so I bought it.
