A Fantastic Nullmodem Cable For the Price!
This cable is exactly what you need when you only need a simple TX/RX crossover cable and don't have an Allen-Bradley 8-pin Mini DIN cable on hand (or just don't want to use one). It's 5 feet AND shielded as advertised, and it works like a charm in RS232 and DH485 modes (tested with a Keyspan USA-19HS and A-B 1747-UIC, respectively). The pictures more or less speak for themselves; not a single dropped packet. For $7, you could do a helluva lot worse.

Good piece of kit
Good item for your tech kit bag. If you on occasion work on legacy defense systems, this item is necessary as the cable that came with the device may have disappeared by the time you got there. This cable is a nice replacement, and I recommend it.
