it's my favorite cardio, chest
I use this rope at the gym on a rubber padded floor not on concrete, it's my favorite cardio, chest, arms, shoulder, and ab, workout tool. I've ask other people at the gym to try it out, most people are intimidated by it, it's not for the timid. People in most of these reviews say it binds and they complain about the handles. It doesn't bind if you start out with it in the right position, actually you will bind up before it does. The people who complain about this rope are not strong enough to be using it. I started with the two pounder and worked my way up to 5 pounds and I wish they made a 10 pounder.

No bueno
The handle came off on the first day and it continues to pop off, so I can’t train people using that rope ended up putting it in the trash. I should’ve returned it right away.

Four Stars
Good training rope. Heavy but not to out of control.

Works if you are moving up from speed rope or 1 lb. rope.
Using this was better for me than a previously purchased polyester blend rope 3lb rope. It was much easier on my wrists (easier to use the handles). However, I thought I was ordering the 3 lb rope, but the box indicated it is only 2.2 lb (Green). I decided to keep since I wanted to go up from a 1lb weighted jump rope. It’s not perfect, but works for me.

would not recommend - bad design (3 reasons) below.
Yikes. At my gym I used a weighted rope and really enjoyed. So I searched high and low and found this on Amazon. I was excited to use it and frankly am very disappointed. Two reasons:Poor Design/Handles: The handles are designed to rotate but they are plastic on plastic (i.e. no ball bearings) so they do not rotate well at all. VERY BAD.Materials: The rope is made of a plastic which is somewhat stiff. For a few days now I have been stretching it out trying to "straighten" : its very kinked and wants to go into a telephone-cord like shape. Not good for jumping rope.Length: I am 5'11" slightly above average I suppose. This rope is extra long -- I am guessing 7 feet of rope. That makes it difficult to jump as the extra material hits the ground and slows down the "action"would not recommend; I am not a generally picky guy when it comes to w/out gear but am quite disappointed here.

Twice per week
Using for Fall strength and conditioning for high school baseball players. Good for cardio and hand/wrist/grip strength. I am a big fan of heavy rope use. Have a variety of rope weights. 1# and 2# too light. 3# good for a number of the 9th graders. 4# and 5# for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. The kids normally do sets of 50 as part of a circuit. Use twice per week and so far ropes holding up well.

didn't love it.
The only 5 star jumprope to exist is found at Crossrope.com! I purchased the glow green and didn't like it and then I found wind of crossrope.com. I've been jumproping for nearly a decade and decided I deserved something worthwhile and ordered a great set from crossrope.com. The green glow stays curled up and the handles don't swivel real well; and I was self conscious at the way I looked when jumping with this.

This rope is gargantuan
I thought I would try and get a little more work in my work out by using this weighted rope. It's way too heavy, it's girthy, it's rubbery (Bad for skipping off most surfaces, especially carpet) and it does a job on your wrists! I Don't use it. Maybe it's not for me/I'm using it improper. But this bad boy will toughen you up.
