Sexy Alpha with a minor obsession...
Holly won a contest and signed a contract with a label to be able to promote her singing. That is all well and fine except they slipped a little something into the contract. For the next 12 months she has to "date" J.C. They are trying to give the washed up singer a new boost and with her love life it doesn't really matter to her too much. That is until J.C. starts showing up in tabloids with other women wearing strap-ons. As such she decides to gift herself a little action. A one night stand with a random man in New York. Shouldn't be that hard...and it isn't. Except the sexy, alpha male she finds isn't ready to let her go after one night and Creighton Karas always gets what he wants. This was my first time reading anything by Meghan March and I got it from the Libby app on impulse. It was 4 hours long and I always love me a little smut. That is all I was hoping for with this and was not at all disappointed on that front. Smut is a VERY apt description of this book...and yet there is more to it than that. I just finished book 1 and it ended on a cliffhanger. Hate it when that happens, in the best possible way. I do have things to say about this book. Good things. Bad things. Things in between. Just things. So, let's get started. When I began this book I was immediately in love with Holly. I mean small town girl from Eastern Kentucky? Hell to the yes. I am from South-Eastern Kentucky and spent more time in the middle of nowhere than I did in any kind of city. Submissive in the bedroom, but stands up where it matters? You've got me there, girl. Just all of the yes. I don't have a single bad thing to say about Holly. At all. Even if Tanna (I hope that is how you spell her name, I had the audiobook version of this) is my favorite character. Then there is Creighton. Dominant alpha male whose internal monologue about considering pissing in a circle around her and growling at any man that came near when they first met? Ha. I laughed out loud about it then told both my husband and best friend about it as well. They were equally as amused by it. My husband's exact words were "He sounds like a light-hearted dom." I don't know that I would go that far with the description, but I do like the male, so we will take it. Anyways, Creighton...the dude is WAY too used to getting what he wants when he wants. Yes, self-assurance is sexy as hell and almost everything about him is as well. Except he has way too big of a fixation on butt stuff. Seriously. Can we have one romp without anything dealing with the butt? Pretty please? Otherwise all of the yes for all of the book. Yes, I will be getting book 2. In fact I would have already have been reading it if it wasn't on hold in the Libby app right now. *sigh* Guess I will just have to find some other audiobook to fill that void until I am able to get it. I seriously considered not getting book 2 because of just how much butt stuff there was in it. I am all for it here and there. To each their own and I am not saying it isn't fun on occasion, but it was just a lot. The cliffhanger it left off on, though, won me over. I need to know what happens next between Creighton and Holly.

quick read
This is the first time reading this author and I couldn’t put it down. The story moves quickly and the characters have a lot of chemistry. I normally don’t go for cliffhangers but I can’t wait to see what’s up with this two in the next book.

Available at my library, but I bought the trilogy
I'm on a tight budget so if a book is available through the library, I don't usually buy it. This one grabbed me and pulled me in so I bought all three! Yes, the sex is over the top and they fall into this relationship pretty quickly, but here's what I know. From my own experience as a musician in my younger years, bad things can happen to a cute, petite woman booking her own gigs and performing at them without the assistance of a manager or bodyguard. When I was looking for a manager, they weren't always very helpful and were focused on their bottom line. Understandable I guess, but I was disillusioned and disheartened. I never got to the contract signing stage, but I've heard enough credible horror stories to believe what was happening to Holly.I don't agree with other reviewers who thought she was a doormat. She walked out on him when she had someplace to be or didn't want to be where she was. She wasn't going to let him dictate where she went and when. Did he get his way using sex and money? In some respects, but she seemed pretty happy with the result.I ended up listening to all three and losing sleep because I didn't want to miss what was coming next. That said, since I listened and didn't see the print version, I can't speak to typos or other print issues.I needed a great escape and I got one! On to the next connected duet.

OMG! I was cracking up at the introduction to our dirty billionaire, Creighton Karas. He's bored and looking for something that causes a rise in his... well, you can figure it out. 😏 🌭I expected dirty and this definitely delivered. There's a story beneath all of the steam but the dominant times are the real star of this show. No doubt about it! I was planning to listen to a couple of chapters and then do some other things. Yeah... well... if a couple of chapters is the whole book, then mission accomplished! 😂🤣 Oops.I borrowed a library copy of the audio book and also read along in parts from my copy of the book. The narrators are Sebastian York and Elena Wolfe. I always enjoy Sebastian. I'm pretty sure it's the first time I listened to Elena and I liked her. They are both good choices for these characters.Story: 4.5 starsNarration: 4 starsListening Speed: 1.6x

2.5 stars is probably more suitable
I’ve read the first five books in Meghan March’s ‘Beneath’ series, and per her suggested reading order on her website, I moved on to the Dirty Billionaire series next before rounding back to the Beneath series later on. I got the first book free (as seems to be a theme with her series) and expected a similar degree of class and engagement as I garnered from the Beneath series, however, At the end of book 1 of the Dirty Billionaire trilogy, I was left feeling frustrated and wondering where the rest was. This ‘book’ is not nearly long enough to be called that at a mere 179 pages long, my 7-year-old daughter reads larger books and it ‘ends’ so abruptly that it’s almost as though someone just randomly selected a page with their eyes closed and decided that’s where it would end before moving onto the next ‘book’, of which they’d then like you to pay £3.99 for the pleasure of reading. Of course, by this point, you’re hooked on them and want to continue reading the story, however I’m loathe to pay almost £8 for essentially what ends up being one book, I wouldn’t even pay that for unputdownable novels by my favourite and long-time-loved authors. So in conclusion, I would rather this have been one book for which I would happily pay £5 or so for, instead of three which ends up pricey and annoying. I’d also add that the Beneath series was far better value at £23 for all seven books and each book being far longer and more readable than this ‘triliogy’

Good quick read
I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were good and the story was good. It was a good quick read.Holly is a great character. She’s strong and feisty and can stick up for herself. One night of fun has her backed into a corner, and you can’t blame her for meeting back up with Creighton and his crazy plan.Creighton is a good character. He’s a typical arrogant billionaire, and he really did act on impulse with Holly. It was great seeing them slowly get to know each other, and seeing him slowly drop a few of those iron walls. The story was good. Holly stocks by herself and tells him that she isn’t letting career and dreams go. He asks her for her trust to deal with everything and she gives it to him. There’s a clear spark between then and they melt perfectly together in the bedroom.I’m intrigued by the ending because I didn’t peg him for not sticking by his word. I’m wondering whether there is a reason why he wasn’t there. I think Holly did the right think, but I’m hoping that he will chase her. I’m looking forward to reading the next book.Overall, this was a quick, enjoyable read and I would definitely recommend it. I think it just missed that extra spark that I sometimes get with books. It was still a good book though.Jessreviews.co.uk

WTF
I purchased a free copy of this book after seeing several good reviews on Goodreads. Yes, this story was well written and the author did a fantastic job or developing the characters. Yes, there was a plot, although it wasn't quite developed, it was still there. Yes, I would read more from Meghan March.But...This book was short - I finished it in less than a day - and the ending was annoyingly abrupt.I am not against shorter novels and often keep up with series that are 50 pages and less an instalment. But, I just feel it's an absolute cheek to ask your readers to pay almost £8 to buy three books - that could easily have been one - to finish the story. It's as if the author was bored and suddenly finished a chapter and thought to herself 'heck, I'll just end this one over here'.How can an author knowingly charge so much for a book when each one is so short, especially when I can walk into a bookstore right now and buy a paperback that is double the length, and the story is just as good - if not better - for less? This is definitely not the way to get new readers and keep them. And what is even worse is that when I finished the first book I was so eager to post a great review and let everyone know that they must buy this book and read it. Now, I feel like it's a con.So I'm giving this one a 4-star rating and only advise you to read it if you're willing to go down that rabbit hole and spend a ridiculous amount of money to finish a story.

Part 1 of the Hot Trilogy
What can I say Creighton Karas says it all. One part Alpha two parts hot and sexy. Ovary exploding lol.Bored Billionare only in the game as its just about winning. He's a know it all sexy beast, whose too confident for his own boots. But really dig deeper, and there lies caring guy.Bring in Holly Wix, country singer, trying to make it big by starring in a reality TV show 'make me a star'. But really she's stuck in a really bad contract with the label, making her put up with host of silly demands which are not nice or fair for her. So when she has a choice between Creighton and the label is obvious which way she'll be deterred.Chance encounter in a bar, leads to the best night of both their lives until Holly quietly walks away the following morning. It's great to see the chemistry between them, but at times I feel Holly is too harsh on Creighton.Left on a cliffhanger leaving you wanting for more. Thank you Meghan.

Complete rip off
I downloaded this as it was free and a good way to try authors I had never read before.I hate this type of approach to writing. Lots of sex scenes that didn't add to the (feeble) plot at all. And then we get to the end only to find it isn't the end at all.If you want to know what happens then you have to buy the next two books. What a rip off. Without all the padding this could easily have been just one book. Not sure if this is a sign of laziness, greed or just a not particularly talented author.
