SimCity Creator - Nintendo DS

I bought this game for an elementary school girl. She absolutely loves it! You can't complete it three hours, and it's challenging enough that it's fun. In this game, you build up a city through the ages. You get to watch it evolve from the Dawn of Time to a modern city. After you complete one stage, you get to choose between three or four different pictures. Each picture take you to a different age. With cool historical details, fun challenges to complete, and a budget sheet and population to monitor, this game is great for everyone 10 and up!

This game is a nice spin on Sim City. It is a bit slow-going, but it is easy to learn and maintain the city. I find it fun and addictive and I'm in my 30's, so I figure kids will like it, too. The only downside is that you have to play the challenge mode first so that you can unlock everything for sandbox mode. I've always been one to go straight to the sandbox; however, the challenge mode is not that hard and offers hours of gameplay. I also don't like natural disasters and they happen frequently in challenge mode, so that's another minus. It uses the DS faculties well. Overall, this is a good DS game.

I bought this game thinking I could design my own city but this is not that kind of game. Instead you place already designed buildings on a site, put in electrical lines, parks, etc. It isn't a bad game, it's just that you can't design individual buildings.

At first it is easy then as the age progresses and pollution and riots rise, I always fail and have to start over. I stop playing it for a while then a few days later I try again and once again, fail. So frustrating!

Great game

If you are a frustrated city planner, this is the game for you. You can and probably will spend hours building your civilizations to move to the next level. It actually is a good game to play while you're watching TV because you need to sit it down every once and awhile and allow your cash accumulate so you can afford to build more hospitals, schools or whatever your city needs.

I bought this game as a present but I also have it myself. I think it is very interesting and easy to learn. It takes up a lot of time due to the nature of what you are doing. Play time just goes on and on. I like being able to build on something. It can be challenging as you progress but I really like it.

My grandson played with this all Christmas day. He has since built cities and is completely engaged. it was his best present of the season.
