Works great in hard water!
We live in area with hard water. We live rural area and have well water and we have very hard water. These filters work well and don't require excessive changing

Helps get out the fine dirt
I use these by the tank for our house to get out the fine sediment from our well and they do a pretty good job. We also have a filter out by the well to get out the bigger particles and Cullingan makes some pretty decent filters to get the job done.

I tried an off-brand, but they didn’t quite fit my filter system— it took a lot of tries to get the leaks to stop. Now that I’ve gone back to these original Culligans, changing filters is easy, quick, and DRY. We have tons of sand in our well water, but I find these filters are good for 3-4 months and I’ve noticed no more grit in spigot valves, and faucets. Even the coffee maker works better!
