Owned: A BSDM Yaoi Romance (Innocent Pet Book 1) Kindle Edition

I can tell this novel was influenced by "Viewfinder" a manga by Yamane Ayano, which is my favourite yaoi manga of all times. Most of the characters seem to align with the ones in Yamane Ayano's work, which I find both awesome and a little irritating. It was just too obvious that Rokuda was Asami, Fujiwa/Feilong, Shinzeki in the second book/Sakazaki, and then there was also that Russian dude that matched the one from Yamane Ayano's work who is kinda into Feilong the same as the one in this book is into Fujiwa. I'm still giving her five stars because the plot was somewhat different even in its similarities and who could blame her? Viewfinder by Yamane Ayano is freaking awesome. I may be wrong, but I think the author is a great inspiration to Amelita Rae. I've read her more recent work and I have had a few thoughts about Viewfinder once in a while reading some of her novels. But never as much as this series, which is good because even though I love this manga, I want to see what comes out of Amelita Rae's own imagination. I strongly encourage you to read this novel and her other work too. She is an excellent writer and I love all her filthy and sexy plots, her signature blond/blue eyed bottom and strong and dark top. Exactly my type of couple. ;)

This has been my favorite story so far. I love the raw emotional confusion expressed by both characters. I also enjoy the light versus dark thread that runs throughout. I am a romantic at heart and always want goodness, light and love to win over darkness, cruelty and indifference. Of course some BDSM and lots of smut thrown in does not hurt either. Another fantastic story by Amelita with well rounded characters, a detailed story line and the elephant in the room...CLIFFHANGER!!! I want more, more, more and hope these two heroes find the love and light they seek. I also suspect an interesting twist to pop up in part two....stay tuned...

I initially read this on AO3 and was hooked. The extra details added to this book make it better reading since there's something new for me to enjoy but honestly, this just makes you yearn to have book 2 available as soon as you finish this. A selfish part of me wanted it all to be part of one long book instead so I could read it all in one go.Looking forward to the next part of this story!

Gorgeous piece of work and one of my favorite pieces from this author. It's a story that touches your heart and really makes you feel for the character. You can't help but get attached to the poor little uke, and only want the best for him. It's also a story about humanity, and how sometimes it's another person that makes life worth living. I can't begin to describe how complex and satisfying it is to read just the beginning part and I'm definitely looking forward to part 2.

I didn't know it was possible to fit so much sex and yet so much story into such a relatively short book! (It's not that short but I'm used to reading much longer books). This is the first book I've read from this author and I'll definitely be checking out her other stuff.

Great story. I liked Chiaki's confusion at his reactions to the seme, and the seme trying to discount that he is feeling something for the uke. Just a side note for new readers, contains some graphic violence

.......in the story. This is a to be continued but the ground work of the characters are contained in this tale.Didn't think I would like the story. It started sweet and developed into a warped tale.Rokuda is a powerful mob type character. Chiaki is sweet but becomes less innocent in his second meeting with Rokuda.The concept and ideas again are different to anything I have read from this author. Some bits I was not so keen on but to appreciate the whole you need to read both parts.

The first short story out of a pair. It was a fun little read, and I look forward to reading the other half.This is one of my favourites from this author because the characters as well as side characters are detailed well, and the world has depth.

This is part one of a two-part-story and I'm really glad, that this is a little bit longer than the version I was able to read before...the cliffhanger this time isn't so cruel, than the other one.It's an amazing story of a young man, who get cought by a human traficker. What at first sound quite cruel will be explained in a way, that one can understand certain decisions and behaviours. One more time Amelita is able two write characters not only in black-white-schemes, but in very different shades of grey (no, I don't read these ones yet), so you can't say, that one is just evil or not.The relationship between seme and uke is buildt very slow and it makes a lot of fun to read and to observe the changings of both of them are experiencing. The uke learns, that other people knows more of his desires than himself, and the coldhearted bastard of a crime lord has to learn, that he is not so cruel, as he thought.I'm looking forward to the second book and hope, that it doesn't take to long until it will be availiable.Jeder, der BDSM liebt, sollte wirklich einen Blick auf diese Story werfen...das gilt auch für diejenigen, die bezüglich dieses Themas unerfahren, aber neugierig sind!

The story and practically all main characters are taken from Okane Ga Nai (No Money). Though the story is nice to read, I wonder why there are no repercussions because of the obvious copyright violation.
