Can't beat them!!!
Bought a pack that came with two pair of socks for a buddy and I that were doing a spartan run. Best socks I have ever worn!!! Very comfy with just the right amount of padding without feeling bulky in a tight pair of shoes (Solomon speed3s). Snug around the ankles to stop debre from getting in but not constricting. As with any mud race, your feet(and whole body) will get soaked repeated. These socks rocked!!! As soon as the water was out of the shoes they seemed to dry remarkably fast. They never bunched up, never even had to adjust them in the 5+ miles of torture I put then through. They cleaned up great too with no wear it shrinking whatsoever after a few heavy duty wash cycles. I love wearing them as everyday socks and will be purchasing more. Don't hesitate, if you need a great sock for a mud run or just a great sock pick yourself up a pair or two.

THE Sock for trails
Heard about these on Trail Runner Nation podcast and decided to give them a try (after a week on my wish list). From reviews I expected Mudgear socks to be good, but these really do live up to the hype. Tried them on in the house when I got them and they were comfortable. Like nice socks. Wore them two days later on a 25 mile trail run and now I’m hooked. No rubbing, bunching, or hot spots. They stayed put, my feet never got hot, and no sign of even the start of a blister. To me, these are worth every penny. Well made, super comfy, and perform great. I’m sold on Mudgear for good.

Good socks ,just not as good as some others
The completion in the sock industry is fierce. There are many great brands, so a relatively new brand such as Mudgear has a long road to go. That said, I don't have any negative comments about these socks. The are good socks at a lower cost then many of the more popular brands. That is the best selling point about these socks. If you were to ask are they better then " darn tough", "Smart wool", or "Throlo" brand socks, I would have to say no. They are in the category of say socks from 5.11 tactical. All good socks. The bottom line is these are good socks at a decent price. They feel good and fit well. I'm always looking for a brand of socks that can beat Darn tough socks, Mudgear is not that brand, but they are still good socks.

Great socks for a Spartan
I ordered these socks for my first Spartan race. I needed a pair of socks that will work in dry and wet conditions. They were great, especially after several water obstacles. I ordered more.

Worth the vestment in your performance
OVERALL, Price wise, think of them as an investment vs expense. These durable, well made comfortable and functional socks are by far some of the best if not the best no-show performance sock on the market. . After 8 years I had to retire one sock because I had to wear them as a shoe on a camping trip while my boots dried and accidentally poke a hole in one of the heels. I keep the odd sock as a spare in case I get another flat so to speak. ESPECIALLY Easy to put on and take off. Colorfast. We highly recommend them based on affordability, durability and comfort. We recommend them for daily wear as well as for highly demanding competitive sports from marathons to cycling This is a COMPRESSION SOCK in that they are snug fitting making them perfect for physically demanding use. !I've been wearing this brand for more than seven years. From the no show to the knee high compression and without fail these socks are the toughest socks I've ever owned. Pricey - yes and worth every nickel. Most highly recommended.

The ankle cuff is snug yet comfortable, keeping out debris during trail runs and OCR's.
I thought these socks seemed a little pricey at first but after some consideration, made the purchase for the Warrior Dash coming up next week. These socks are everything they claim in the description. The ankle cuff is snug yet comfortable, keeping out debris during my trail runs. These do not hold water like a normal athletic socks and there are no noticeable seams. (Will mud/water performance update after the race). The owner promptly answered a few of my questions via email. As a small business owner myself, I love their passion and dedication to their product and customer satisfaction. This experience convinced me to go ahead and order 3 MudGear race jerseys that my boys and I had been looking at. UPDATE: Just finished running the Warrior Dash with these socks. They were great in the mud and water. The ankle cuff kept mud and debris out, the material did not hold much water, and most of all they were comfortable enough to keep all the mud and small rocks that got into my shoes from irritating my feet. The Jersey's are pretty great too!

Great athletic sock
Since I'm signing up for more obstacle courses I figured I give one of the official socks a go. Fit great, felt good, no hot spots, stayed on, and I like the color variety :). Ill wear them on an upcoming tough mudder and find out if I want to get more than 2 pairs. Bit pricey on the base price but on sale I think they are manageable.
