Muntons produce some of the best extracts on the market. Even a beginner can make a great beer, every time.. It is simple to make and has a great tast. Perfect for the beginning brewer. So, Why the low score? Well what I received was a American style light Lager, instead of the American style light beer that I ordered and it was old. The extract I received was within 30 days of the expiration date. There is no UPS store in my little town and I would have had to drive 20 miles in order to return it. I ordered the extract to save from driving that distance to my favorite brew shop. Amazon did return most of my money (Amazon credit). With that said the light lager was a good beer, it just wasn't what I had ordered. The extracts I get at the brewshop have well over a year left before it will expire. So lesson learned.
