Amazing!
I purchased the Zonos scanner to convert about 3,000 45 year old slides to a digital format and I have not been disappointed. I am not printing these, so for my purposes the quality is excellent. It is easy to use after you learn how to open the tray for the slide. It seems delicate and I was afraid of breaking it. After 1,800 slides It is holding up just fine. The process is quick. I get a reel of 100 onto the SD card in about 30 minutes with occasional editing for brightness or color. Finer editing is done once I transfer them to a program on my laptop. I chose this scanner over others because of the larger viewing screen and it is a big plus as far as I am concerned. Great little gadget!

Quick digital copies
The scanner is very easy to use and the picture quality of slides is as good as viewing with a projector. Negatives convert quickly and are good. If found 35 mm slides and negatives are generally better than those from cheaper 110 or 126 cameras. It is a great way to preserve old slides and negatives. I even digitized some old glass slides. As long as they go thru the adaptor I was able to make a digital copy.

Good but
It does the job of coping the slides to the chip but it's a laborious process. Each slide has to be inserted into a holder and then inserted in the viewer. We hooked it up to the TV so we could both view the slide without having to look over each others shoulder. That went well, as long you have an extra HDMI port on your TV. The quality color is adequate for most slides, but if the slide has poor exposure, this device will only make it worst. The left to right and top to bottom buttons work well and are convenient.

Would not save to SD card
I bought this twice - and returned it twice. Neither unit would format, or save to, the SD card. Other than that, it seemed to work ok. But very disappointing that the SD function didn't work as advertised. Without that feature, scanning large quantities of images would be far too time-consuming. So I'm on the hunt for a new one - but none seem to be really great....

Best images and huge screen! What's not to love?
My background is in digital imaging and was looking for a good scanner for my old 35mm slides. First tried the Scanza due to its popularity but they have it tuned for the smallest files which is good for sharing but not for archiving for posterity. The images were too soft a focus for a 14 megapixel camera. Well this Zonoz really shines! It's fast and at 22MP enhanced resolution mode it makes 2 to 3 Mb jpeg files which are good for archiving. The screen is huge compared to the others and extremely easy to use. Highly recommended!

Superb quality
Great captures. Easy to use. Also, instructions don't mentioned the fact that you do not have to remove the slide transport to insert a mounted slide each time. You can simply push each slide thru (R 2 L) with the next slide to be scanned. This allows for much faster scanning.

Bad so far
Didn't have very high hopes, but initial scans are terrible. I may be able to rescue some stuff in Photoshop, but not to any great degree. Highlights for example are so blown out that they show up as yellow mud (see photo attached). The main problem is that there's no way to adjust the settings on the scanner to accommodate lighting issues.Initial thoughts:PROS: Super easy and fast to set up and operate, no PC needed, plugs into your TV via HDMI so you can see slides on a big screen, SD card not included but they are easy to find and super cheap, viewing screen on device is decent size. You can feed slides through continuously (no need to open up device and load 3 more at a time in the holder), though they still must be pushed through one by one.CONS: Image quality is bad. Resolution control is a farce, there's no real control over it. Sharpness is questionable.Verdict: Too expensive for what it is. Unfortunately there are no alternatives in this price range. Still deciding whether or not to keep or return.

The product does what it said it would do and easy to use
It was easy to use and I purchased an SD card to store the pictures and also a HDMI cable to use with my PC monitor to better view my negatives and slides. I had lots of old negatives and slides which I wanted to digitize for an upcoming event. Overall it is a good product and works quicker than a scanner.
