Bloody Fantastic!
I mean, as sexy as a utility like this can be, it gets the job done perfectly, and less importantly matches the look of my rig.I've been experimenting with various external power options for my Pocket 4K and I think I'm settling on this solution. See photo.I'm trying to avoid the bigger, bulkier footprint of a vmount/goldmount battery and plate. I know the Sony battery option will supply less power/life in comparison, but they're so affordable I can just purchase a handful and hot swap it out with the original P4k Canon battery in the body without missing a beat.I tried the Juice Box BlackMagic solution and although it's a well constructed product and offers marginally longer life per charge, for me it turned out to be too bulky (and expensive) for my needs.I also tried the Smallrig (love their products) Sony NP battery plate which is very comparable, and cheaper than this plate but also fatter, plasticy and didn't look nice on my rig. Also, this plate comes with the P4K power pin out of the box. With the Smallrig solution you have to purchase that separately. Same situation with the Juice Box solution.Overall, I felt this was the best value and middle of the road power solution. I'm giving up some charge time, but gaining a smaller footprint and some aesthetic, and more importantly, over time this solution is much cheaper. Sony NP batteries are the most available, cheapest options for longer battery performance compared to the Canon LPs, which in the context of this particular camera sucks beyond belief.***WHAT ABOUT PORTS?***Ha! Your boy gotz'ya covered! ;)I ordered two "Powerextra" NP-F960 batteries (going to order 2 more soon) that have both a full USB 5v out and a 7.5v DC out on the body of the battery itself! Also, the Sony battery plate of this product provides an additional 7.5v DC out on the it's body as well. So, that's direct power into the P4k, with one USB out and two additional DC outs going with this solution. Get yourself a USB or DC powered USB port extender and now you have extra USB ports. This isn't rocket science, you just have to get a little creative and think slightly out of the box. I hope this helps someone on the fence. Do it. You won't be disappointed.

Great for BMPCC 4K
I had to pick a way to externally power my BMPCC 4K. I saw a You Tube video by Tom Antos where he used a Sony battery plate on his camera. I found this plate here on Amazon. It looks expensive but compared to the V mount batteries and mounting hardware it is a deal. Also, this setup is much lighter than the giant V mount batteries. I saw some reviews where people said that the screw was too short to mount to anything... Not so, you have to use a screwdriver to get the screw in far enough that the thread-less shoulder on the screw is in the slot. Out of the box, just turn the mounting screw several turns in and with then it will slide back and forth just fine. Also complaints about it not staying tight when mounted? Again, just use a large flat blade screw driver or a quarter to tighten it... The cable is made for the BMPCC 4K and it has an extra port on the plate to power a focus screen or whatever. I bought Wasabi 970 sized batteries and charger rather than the batteries Tom used. They are also here on Amazon; https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FQ0RB92/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1The batteries Tom picked do have a power level as well as a USB port built into the battery but you have to buy a charger. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M189SS0/?coliid=I31ZHAS76R89FO&colid=2N4L78WX5YUKL&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it. In retrospect I would spend the extra cash and get the battery level and USB port.

I was skeptical but it works well!
Like many, I'm in need of a 3rd party battery solution for my BMPCC4K. I didn't want to get a heavy v-mount solution, and wasn't a fan of some of the other brick type batteries. I like the idea of using Sony NP style batteries as they are ubiquitous, inexpensive, and can also be used for other devices. What is nice about this mount is it has the Weipu connector that will go into the side of the camera, which is safer than using a dummy battery because it utilizes the built-in power regulation. Also, it has a 2nd power port 7.4V out, which I don't plan on using but it's a nice option for future accessories. The only caveat is it took FOREVER to deliver from China, but I think in part it is because the product is so new, and also it got held up at US Customs for 1 week which I attribute to the recent government shutdown, lol.

Another poor quality item. Stopped working after 3 months and no way to return.
The light still comes on but will no longer get power to my BMPCC 4K. My BMPCC 4K charger adapter works fine so I know its not my camer port. This thing has always been attached to my cage since day one and only removed from the camera port about 3 times since May but has failed already. I will contact the company in hopes of getting a new one sent out and will update if so. Very disappointed.

I can almost recomend this
Update: My unit failed and is being returned. The light on the plate no longer indicates it is engaged with a full battery and the camera no longer powers up.-----------The screw is too short to attach this plate to anything. It is impossible to attach this to your cage using the screw provided which angers me to no end. I have longer thumb screws and did switch it out but it also could use another attachment point, dead center is not always the best use of space. Otherwise it seems to work fine.

Very loose
If you're planning on using this on a bmpcc 4k and smallrig cage, it's not going to fit right. I attached it to multiple locations on the rig and haven't found a way to keep a tight connection. It's very unstable and wobbles when in use.

Nope, bad merchandise, buy from a different buyer
This unit worked for about two months, and then stopped on a shoot, nearly ruining a production. The plug is faulty, and the company will not stand behind their product. I ordered a different model and hope it's not utter garbage like this one is.Only order this if you DON'T want to be able to use your Blackmagic Pocket Camera 4 or 6k.

Unit shorted out and killed several of my batteries
Can't recommend. Unit shorted out internally causing several of my batteries to die. I tested the two pins on the battery plate with a multi-meter and found they had continuity! Something must have died inside the plate and when that happened it failed very poorly. Avoid.
