One of the main criteria for selecting this light was my wife's demand for a bright light to make it easy to apply makeup in the mirror in the morning. This light easily does it (and met her approval). Instant on and off. The price was also very reasonable in my opinion considering this is a 36 inch light.The install was easy. Everything is included in the kit to install on an existing electrical wall box. The kit even included a pair of white gloves to help you keep fingerprints off the light during the install! To install, simply remove the back panel from the back of the light (2 top and 2 bottom screws). Attach this back plate to the wall box. Screws and washers are provided. Then connect the electrical wires using the electrical nuts provided. You will need someone to hold the light while this is done. Re-position the light over the back plate and replace the 4 screws. You are done!In our case, we used a simple light switch (not a dimmer). However, this light does support dimmers if you want to dampen the bright light a little (especially early in the morning).This light also offers the ability to "swivel" the light at different angles. The description shows that you can point it outward, upward, or downward. Wasn't sure how this was adjusted or useful this would be. I think this is a great feature. You can adjust this at any time by simply moving the light bar with your hand in the direction you want to focus the most light (a full 180 degree range). In reality, you will probably only do this the first time you install it. However, I like the installation flexibility it gives this light.This is the first mirrea product I've bought. I will definitely consider them first for any future lighting needs.

I remodel about 4 bathrooms and kitchens each year, so I am always looking for accessories that are different than the last job and this light does it amazingly well. Fast delivery, well packaged, easy to install, adjustable light direction that reaches over deep/thick medicine chests. Ladies like the light quality for make-up application, I like that it can be dimmed. The price is quite reasonable for the bling value of the light overall. Lastly, it looks good turned off, have had other folks comment on it, reaching for the switch to turn it off or on. Cheers, G

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  UPDATE: I’m a dummy and wasn’t using a TRIARC dimmer switch; for the forward phase/triarc DIVA lutron switch (Lutron DVLV-600P-WH 600-Watt Diva Magnetic Low-Voltage Single-Pole) and everything works great! No flash of light when turning on, and no flicker!!! Updating to 4 stars! Knocking 1 star off since the frosted effect on the glass is very delicate and can easily scratch off of you aren’t careful (so be careful!!!)LED flickers when dimmer switch set to low (and yes, my dimmer is a LED compatible Lutron)...unfortunately since without a dimmer, this thing puts out more light than the sun, you really need a dimmer unless you’re installing it high up in a large space... it’s crazy bright!I did notice that when on a dimmer, and the dimmer set to med/low - when I turn it on, it flashes to max-brightness for a split second before adjusting to the correct brightness, which can be problematic when it’s 2am and you’re going into the restroom .. you get blinded by a supernova of light.The good parts are it’s very well made - high quality chrome metal (not cheap plastic) - the frosted glass is delicate and is susceptible to scratches. The ability to rotate the direction is really cool.It’s simple to install and very sturdy, and looks nice.I even got a replacement to see if I got a lemon the first go around, but it flickers on both :( ... it’s not a terrible flicker, but when you notice it, it’s hard to forget it’s there... still debating if I’ll keep it (since it’s up).(Tried to take a video of the flicker but it’s rather subtle and not sure it gets picked it)

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  After using it for less than a month, the lamp began to flicker irregularly, blinding my eyes so much that I couldn't open my eyes. I ask for a replacement and hope the seller can mail it again.

Easy installtaion; the biggest trick was that the circuit board arrived disconnected from the mounting frame for it inside the lamp; holding the wires in place while snapping the board to the frame took a moment and seemed like it was intended to be done at the factory. This three wire (lead, line, ground) install is eased by an included universal mounting bracket. Though it's easy to install the bracket, it held the lamp about a quarter inch off the wall due to the position of lamp-mounting holes on the wall bracket. This leaves a little to be desired for a flush-mount wall lamp. However, for the price, the build quality of the lamp itself is impressive; the lamp cover seems to be a heavy glass, not fragile, and not a lightweight plastic cover. The light quality is excellent; 3000k gives a warm yellow-white glow; and it's bright enough to give much more light throughout the room than the old four-bulb halogen lamp it replaced. The hinges for adjusting the angle of the light are sturdy enough to hold the lamp at your desired angle and soft enough to move by hand. The lamp does get warm, so test it before grabbing to adjust. It adjusts from pointing down to pointing directly out from the wall. If you want to angle it upward at all, just install the lamp upside down on the bracket without having to adjust the bracket at all. Then the lowest angle you will get is directly away from the wall. Overall, the gap between the lamp and the wall is the only aspect that keeps this from getting five stars. Otherwise, I'm very pleased. Since it is so bright, you might want to consider putting this on a dimmer switch.

I absolutely love these lights! They give off such a bright white light. They look clean and modern. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. I wish I had purchased them for my other washroom as well as those ones pale in comparison.

Yes, I used an electrician because I know nothing about anything but he reported it was easy to instal. I think it looks nice, modern and neat. The light is bright enough for me to see how to put on my make up even though I have cataracts, so that's a plus for sure. This fixture will work until it dies at which time I will purchase a new vanity light. In the meantime, my worries are over.

Easy to install, not too heavy so you can do it solo. Had it up and running in around 20 mins. Nice and bright light but not too too bright. Idk why people complain about a plastic housing in the review as my magnetic level would argue otherwise. Came very fast and packaged well.

Got the unit fully assembled which was a plus. Easy install and it looks great. I only wish the 36 inch version had a 5000K option as I like cold white like more but this will do. Will update if anything changes.

This type of light fixture for the bathroom vanity is a must for both guys and girls. It gets super bright but not hot. You really want every little detail of your own face when getting ready to go out and this light fixture does the job.
