Easy Use Use & Is initially effective. Great DIY Option.
Measure properly to get the correct sizing. My pipes were not perfectly round so I used the string method to measure the circumference and calculate the diameter ofmthe pipesmthat I was joing. The Initial quality is good. Will only work on sound, clean pipe, so your surface prep should be as good as possible. You must employ a sealant material and follows those instructions perfectly. Initial repair is great, but longevity cannot be determined and will likely depending upon where you live and how clean you keep your under carriage (road salt). I am hopeful that this will last 2 or 3 years. It should be easily replaceable and not expensive. I figure the part and sealant cost was about 10% - 15% of the cost that a muffle shop would have cost me. For a more permanent repair. If nothing else, my car is on the road and I now have time to explore and shop for a more permanent repair. Definitely worth the time and money to prevent me from getting "bent-over" when I start getting estimates to have a section of replacement pipe cut, shaped and welded on

Perfect repair
I replaced the muffler and tailpipe today on an 09 Jeep Liberty. The y-pipe had a small rust through just beyond the muffler flange, this stainless coupling covered the rust through and helped to reinforce the connection. Very good part to have.

A good repair tool.
I had a cracked weld at both necks on 2 catalytic converters on a 22 year old 3500 crew cab Silverado which leaked exhaust and sounded terrible..I guess it had to happen sometime. Anyway the welds cracked at the thin body and weld on the pipe on both so I couldn't re-weld them with my mig as I feared I'd burn through the thin gauged body while needing the heat to penetrate the weld area..The alternative was to use a high (extreme) heat JB Weld around the crack and then some, wrap it all in this band style clamp, tighten it all down letting it squish out around it and let it set up for 24hrs..Next day started it up let it heat up and no leaks after 500 heavy tow miles still good and I think its stronger than the original connection, like solid metal..Easy to do and the hardware was strong, but I wouldn't recommend a air gun as you just may go too far..If you need it tighter using a long handle then you better get a new solution.

This is by far the best exhaust repair part ever, other than a weld…. This part really works as it’s supposed to

TIGHT EXHAUST JOINT SEAL!!
I have used these for years instead of welding......they hold up well and seal like a weld joint but come apart easily when you wish to make exhaust changes!!

Better Than Stock!
Replaced the exhaust and down pipe. The after market exhaust came with cheesy little clamps. I had used these type before. Bought them and put them on, threw that other junk in the trash! These clamp and hold well. Remember to check the torque after about a day!
