Purina Beyond Grain Free, Natural, High Protein Wet Dog Food, Texas Beef Recipe - (12) 13 oz. Cans

My dogs love this variety. The smell and favor appeals to canines. Big problem is availability and cost. It’s hard to find and if you do it’s more expensive. So I seldom use it. But dogs really love it!

This is my dog's preferred food. But I'm sorry to say that Purina advised me they dropped it from their line.

update 2: lowered a star for we bought the texas beef version and the case we received (expires 2020) is not of the same texture as the one we received to try out & review (expires 2021)!! The texture in this case we bought is mushier/slightly less meat & has more gravy juice so food sticks to bowl and i am sitting here watching my dog babysitting her bowl instead of finishing her food again with this case, she did not do that with the review case at all.. i will buy one more time elsewhere but, i will lower rating again and not rebuy this food again after that if we get the same mushy food that doesn’t look as good as reviewed version did!!““Watch as your dog delights in the meaty flavor of this tasty recipe, lapping up every last bite that's made with real, regionally sourced Texas beef as the #1 ingredient. ”” hmm they were not kidding when they stated that!! the high protein Texas beef pate/ground version was gone within 2 minutes!was pretty shocked to see it eaten so fast since our extremely picky girl gets homemade dog food every day because she has pretty much hated everything we’ve have bought or tried.. keeping my fingers crossed that she continues to love this food so i can get a break from cooking her food in bulk every three days! actually even smelled good to my nose. texture of food didn’t quite look like in pics here, the texture of the food in cans in the case we received is dryer/denser. i was able to pop foodout of can whole and make bite size out of food with a butter knife and the pieces stayed that way..great to me for our formerly more than likely abused girl is not only picky but, also gets scared about everything which includes her feeding bowls which must all be the exact same shape, size & color and food must in no way stick to bottom of it or she won’t eat it so this currently thick & dense pate/ground food is perfect for her..Thankful we were able to try this out for after thousands of dollars wasted on dog foods of all types in last 4yrs, i gave up buying her new dog foods these last few months and we wouldn’t of gotten it for her ourselves. this ‘high protein texas beef’ one we will now definitely buy if no poop and stomach issues arise in next couple days (the she also has a sensitive tummy).. do recommend!!update: she is still loving the beef. we got the fish version to try too and she actually likes that one too! not as firm of a pate though so sticks to her bowl, something she hates, so we decided to buy her the desnser texas beef ground version only.

It appears that companies are finally listening to their customers demands for quality food for their fur babies. We no longer want heavily processed food filled with junk for our very important fur family members. We are being more and more vocal about how important our 4 legged companions are to us and how much better they deserve. After all if you're a company that caters to animals, shouldn't you have their best interests at heart? Sadly that isn't always the case, the almighty dollar makes whatever morals these manufacturers have fade in the background. I'm happy to see more and more small changes in the right direction happening for our fur kiddos. My 4 elder shih tzus are mainly fed a homemade diet, however they sometimes get some canned food as a treat. I decided to try these as a treat. My dogs liked it enough to finish their plates even after leaving some in their bowls for later. They always came back to finish it off. Food doesn't have a strong foul odor like a lot of canned dog food, it's convenient & appears fresh. I feel fine with the ingredients listed, although not perfect, it's still better than other foods in the same price range. I'd recommend this dog food.

My basset loved this. He ate the entire can in a short amount of time. The primary ingredients are beef, chicken, beef broth, liver and salmon. I listed the ingredients below. This is grain free. This would be better without guar gum and carrageenan but overall, pretty good formula for Purina. No problems with gas, diarrhea or vomiting after my dog ate this.
