The Talented Clementine

Excellent books for emerging readers
These Clementine books are absolutely fantastic for early elementary readers. Our daughter is in first grade and she gets the biggest kick out of Clementine. The books are well-written and Clementine is a hoot. They're engaging and easy to read. We read them at bedtime and split the duty of reading with our child so we read one page and she reads the next. It's a great way to introduce children to new words they may not have read in class.

Cute story. Daughters love it and can read it on their own
My seven year old loves reading these books, and we will likely get the entire series. I purchased the kindle version, which appears to be a clean and seamless translation to digital from the printed version.

Great sequel!
If your child read Clementine, then he or she will love Talented Clementine. Sara Pennypacker continues Clementine's adventure in her school's talent show. My 7 year old couldn't believe there was another book on Clementine. He and his reading group read the first one and loved it...boys and girls alike....they both could relate to the characters as well as the writing style. The only disappointment that my son showed when he finished reading Talented Clementine was he still did not know Clementine's brother's name. Sara Pennypacker is keeping that a secret for now. Guess she'll eventually let the readers know what the brother's name is. For now, the readers will just have to call him what his sister Clementine calls him: Broccoli, Spinach, etc.... Buy the book for your child...they will thank you!

Funny story.
I did not like the style of writing. But the book as a whole is refreshing. There were moments when my daughter literally fell off the chair laughing.Very American and hence us Indians ( Kids) , might find a bit hard to relate to .If your kid likes reading or if you like reading to your kid, this is a night addition to your library.
