HinsonGayle 4-Strand Handwoven Gemstone & Freshwater Cultured Pearl Necklace

I bought this necklace to give to my boyfriend's mother for her birthday. She had mentioned she wanted black pearls and mentioned how her sister had a black pearl she really admired. The pricepoint for this necklace was good so I bought it to present to her or her birthday. The product packaging was fantatic. Rather than being stuffed inside a mesh drawstring bag and placed in a generic cardboard box, this necklace was in a velveteen bag, wrapped in tissue inside a printed box (that was also wrapped in tissue) and placed in Hinson Gayle's high-quality blue jewel box. What this means is that I felt like I was presenting a gift from a local, high-quality jeweler. In fact, a few people asked where Hinson Gayle was in my hometown. That speaks volumes. It looked like I spent time in a custom jeweler rather than online. I wasn't ashamed to say how I bought it via Amazon, but Hinson Gayle's presentation certainly didn't look that way. Also, my boyfriend, who used to work in the jewelry industry, inspected the necklace and commented on the high quality workmanship used to craft the necklace. Not knowing much about jewelry (other than knowing what I like) I was quite pleased. My boyfriend's mother was impressed and overjoyed with the gift. She took off the necklace she was wearing and proudly displayed this new torsade and, I admit, it did look great on her. This company also really gives a personal touch. I later recieved a hand-written thank you card for my order. Who does that these days? The company also included instructions on how to care for and store the necklace, which my gift recipient was glad to have. This is also helpful for those, like me, who love jewelry, but know little about it. Thank you Hinson Gayle for your workmanship, pricepoint, packaging, and personal touches. What a great experience!

I purchased this as a retirement gift. It arrived nicely packaged with 2 boxes and a velvet bag which added to the elegant feel of the necklace. It was slightly tangled when I first removed it from the bag, but didn't take long to untangle. I'm glad I pulled it out prior to wrapping it up! My other complaint relates to the plastic beads used as a clasp. While they seem sturdy, they detracted from the elegance of the piece. I would have liked to see either a glass or stone bead or a more traditional clasp. Other than that, the pearls were lovely in contrast with the turquoise stones and the white thread was a nice offset to the colors. It has a delicate feel and the recipient of the gift was very pleased with it. It hung well on her neck and she reported it felt great on her, not poking or bothering her as some uneven stones can do.

Lovely necklace. Appears well-made. I have received several compliments on it. I like that it makes a definite statement without being overbearing. I don't care for the two transparent beads in the closing - it doesn't quite go with the rest of the necklace. Using either pearls or turquoise would have been an improvement. I took off one star because of that. Otherwise, it is a pretty summer necklace.

The necklace is very attractive. When removed the decorative pouch, it required a little bit of untangling. The loop and button style of clasp seems a little clunky but it works well and does not show when worn. I am pleased with the necklace and find it a very attractive and unusual piece.

This is a lovely necklace. Too many laces. But overall a nice necklace.I would have been disappointed if I had paid full price --- advertised at $146. But at the major discounted price less than $50, I am pleased.i have lots of very attractive jewelry and would not put this in the top category. Nevertheless, it will go with several clothing items I have and compliment them beautifully.

Very well made, strong silk cord as the base, looks like they were hand tied. Lays nicely, really the perfect length for any neckline. Not too heavy as to be cumbersome, light weight for the amount of stones. I'd highly recommend as a gift, quality for the price is outstanding. Comes packaged in a great branded box, with smaller box snugly presented inside, and another velvet pouch inside that containing the necklace.

Wanted to give my wife an anniversary gift that was a little different. We love the beach and I thought this would be perfect. The casual yet elegant look did not disappoint. She loves the idea that the necklace can be worn out with a nice sun dress or even worn with a swim suit cover up. Very pleased with the necklace but more importantly I am pleased that the wife is pleased. 😊

Loved the pearls but was very disappointed because they were strung with brown thread. Took away from the beauty of the pearls. Should be clear thread.
