Best knee pads ever
Best knee pads I have ever put on period, and I've been riding since 1991 in Colorado. Buy them and save your knees, or what's left of your knees, they will thank you.

Nice for Snowboarding
I purchased this for snowboarding. I like to get on my knees when talking to my friends on the mountain. It protects really well since I been snowboarding on the east coast (AKA ice coast). That means that if you fall, it like falling on concrete. The knee pads stay at the same spot and you can put it under your snowboard pants.

SIzing chart on the POC website is wrong, here ae the correct ones
Pads are awesome once you find your size. I'm 6'0" and 165 pounds. The sizing chart on the POC website told me I needed a small size kneepad and large size elbow pad. Once the pads arrived I could not even get the small knee pad on and the large elbow pads were too big. I noticed that each pad had a DIFFERENT SIZING CHART attached to the tag than was provided by the POC website. I assume I am a medium in each pad but will have to wait until that size is back in stock to confirm. I will attach pictures of the sizing charts here - I assume the PRODUCT TAGS ARE CORRECT. The picture of the website is just for comparison. This is a great product and it's ridiculous the sizing chart is so hard to find.

Great protection, good comfort, and they stay up much better than previous version
These are my second paid of POC knee pads. The first pair were smaller, easier to slip on, but also easier to slide down when pedaling. The V2 pair have the additional lower strap which aids in keeping the pads in place when pedaling and their protection for the weight is exceptional. I had a bad crash in 2020 with several broken bones but my knees were not even scratched. The pads provide excellent protection. I suspect the new design will be hotter in the summer months since they are longer but they also provide better side protection for the knee which is a worthwhile sacrifice over being comfortable in the heat.

Very protective, stay in place well
I upgraded from my Air VPD knee pads after a crash. Previously I had good experiences with the Air VPD pads and I still wear them for some riding, but in a major crash I still ended up with a huge bruise on one knee that took weeks to go away. The Joint VPD pads are thicker and firmer material and definitely more protective. They are a bit stiffer and less comfortable to wear, so there is a trade off. I choose which pads to use based on where I will be riding. I found these more comfortable and at least as protective as other brands I tried (Fox, Leatt). Would buy again.

The last set of knee pads you will buy.
When I first put these on… They fit rather snuggly. I thought they were going to be really uncomfortable when I rode my bike, or pinch my legs in weird places. After the first 10 minutes of writing… They immediately stretched out to fit my leg perfectly. They didn’t prevent circulation, and actually breathe very well. They provide a lot more protection than I realized with the thick layer of foam. I have another pair of kneepads that are much thinner and lighter that are probably better for cross country stuff. But these are perfect if you are learning how to jump, or hitting trails with much more unforgiving features.Perfect for a new rider learning or an advanced rider who wants protection. From the build quality, I can expect to have these for a very long time.

Try a size smaller-straps too long, too bulky for XC climbing/packing, perfect for bike park pedaling and DH,
I have been mountain biking with these pads for over a year now and they have not shown wear yet. I don't typically wear them while doing any serious climbing because of the way the feel while your knees are bending, and straightening out repeatedly (same issue fit as with all knee pads really). I do however throw these on for all downhill riding that I do, and for when pedaling around the bike park. They don't rub awkwardly anywhere, and fit like a glove. Minor issues: Unlike the VPD air version, these are rather bulky when storing in your bag for large climbs (I can shove them in my pack pretty easily, and can stuff other gear behind the knee area). 2) I think I should have gone with a size smaller, because the straps are not short enough (they have too much stretch in them) to create a nice and tight feel. This problem however is somewhat augmented by the fact that the pad is like a sleeve, and the straps are pretty much a secondary way to keep them on. So I guess I'd say you should try a size smaller first, and then go from there.

Wore these for the first time today.
I just got back from riding 5 miles of intermediate single track. When I put these on I thought they were going to be uncomfortable for the entire ride. Half way through the ride (30 min.) I forgot I even had them on. These knee guards are really great, the material is some type of high tech foam that compresses at a very slow rate. So, when you first put them on they feel awkward. But, as they mold to your knee they become very natural feeling. We ended up going to a bar afterwards and I honestly forgot I was still wearing them. Great product, if you are considering buying knee guards just get these because they're totally worth it. You don't want to ride and feel like you might have more fun if you didn't have knee guards on. I still can't believe I forgot I was wearing these when we were done…ooops. The best thing to do is follow the fitting chart and measure yourself so you get the right size for you. I was in between sizes and went with the smaller size….one of my better decisions. If you are undecided because of the high tech foam comment, try punching one of these. Yeah, after I did that and quickly realized they are the real deal!

Great protection, but don't expect to be pedalling much.
Comfortable, stay in place really well thanks to the two velcro straps, and I ccan bet they will give a lot of protection (not crashed in them yet).Would not reccomend these for anywhere without uplift though, unless you're happy dropping them to your ankles and pedalling up fire roads - you can't take them off without taking your shoes off too.

Great protection, comfortable fit
I have had a few knee protectors now and this one is so far the most comfortable one. I don’t notice that they’re on when mountainbiking. Luckily haven’t had a fall yet, so don’t know how they would protect the knees (yet).

Very important to size yourself correctly, I went with a Large and I’mGlad I did, if you have any doubts size up these are a snug fit - this however means that they don’t slip on The trail - they are also quite comfortable and you forget your have them on after 10 min or so - you can feel the quality of workmanship as soon as you handle the item, great level of protection also - highly recommended

Well made with great protection
Take a while to break in comfort wise but after a few rides they soften up. Offer great protection and feel high quality.

Quality justifies high end price
Great fit. Slight slippage after more than 2 hours of mtb but easy to retighten. Protection feels like it will be good although not had reason to find out yet. Good protection without being too restrictive is how I would describe these.
