Very entertaining
Got this to finish out my set of this series! Really enjoyed watching it and bring closure to some of the characters that were introduced through out the series. Recommend this series for anyone who enjoys a good story line.

An Excellent Drama Satisfying Viewing
Rarely do I watch a TV drama series to the end but this series kept me interested enough to the final episode of season 6. The characters are well-developed, complex, and consistent, and they develop and change throughout the series, the most dramatic being the transformation of Regina who turns out at the end to be the most tragic figure who evokes compassion. Also the stories and story developments are consistent with characters involved and their development. For a TV drama the intellectual level and the psycho-philosophic insight are quite high. It was a satisfying viewing experience during the Christmas-New Year break.

A 1950's Post WW2 backdrop with all the elements of current day society
As much as things change, things do stay the same. 1950's "wholesomeness" used loosely, as we are still the same human beings attempting to be human and failing miserably at best. Characterizations were spot on and engaging. Everyone played their role with empathy, apathy, and cathartic emotions. Found myself crying, rather sobbing, especially during season 6. Having watched tons of film over several decades and as much international film that was available over the years, this series left an indelible beat upon my heart. In fact my view of many issues broadened as a result of watching this series. Nothing new under the sun...Thank you.

Great acting
George and Sarah are wonderful together. The actors have a great on screen chemistry. Their love for each other is very genuine and enjoyable to watch. A great series! Wish there was more.

A lovely Series - however too long
I absolutely enjoyed A Place to Call Home. The story of Sarah Bligh is a winding story of finding lasting peace after significant turmoil and emotional recovery after being a WWII Death Camp prisoner. Her story could have been wrapped up in Season 4 and should have been. Series 5 and 6 were the slowest and seemed unnecessary. There is a lot to unpack over all the years with multiple characters' lives.
