One-Minute Devotions for Girls Hardcover – January 1, 2012

I bought this book to have an easy devotional with my "tween" girls. I admit there are a few topics that made me question if I should have purchased it; however, it was definitely a topic that needed to be discussed. In this era, when children have the world available right at their hands, it just makes sense to talk about these uncomfortable topics (like sexual activity). In reality, children are exposed to a lot of topics that would make a parent cringe. But this book worked well for that situation. Admittedly my daughters felt a little uncomfortable talking about these things at first. But it has helped to open up our conversation for the future; for that, I am grateful.The topics seem to go with issues they experience in school and we would easily have longer discussions about the topic. In closing, I have truly enjoyed this book. It has served its purpose for me.

Wonderful devotional! My daughter and I read it together everyday. They even help me stay on track lol!! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a meaningful but quick daily devotional. Love it!!!

This is a cute book. It's a little small book which can make it get lost - but the idea it for her to have it by her bed to read daily. Her favorite part is that it has a bookmark built in. I'm glad it's hard back instead of paperback because I can see it lasting longer that way. I have not read through all the devotions - but the ones I read at least I can see a 10 year old enjoying and getting HER to think. She's happy with the color and that it is specifically for her - making it a good gift (hers was a stocking stuffer)
