Bears Carrying Canoe Figure (Going Fishing), 11-inch

This was purchased as a gift and is absolutely adorable! Very good quality and the person received it LOVED it!

Very cheaply made. Mine was received broken, though I was able to reglue the first bear that had separated from the canoe. Hopefully it will hold. I'll also need to do a little finish touch up as well. This bear looks like it had been previously returned, as both the inner bag and box had been obviously retaped. The styrofoam packing was also broken.

I was delighted to get this cute figurine but sad when I opened it. The box it came in was completely undamaged; however, the figurine was broken and the canoe was chipped. Funny, I can't figure out how it got chipped with no trace of the chip inside the package! Almost seems like it was packed by the manufacturer in an already defective condition. It was encased with Styrofoam packing and boxed tightly and then placed in a larger box with other items purchased from Amazon. I gave it four stars because had it been in good condition, I definitely would keep it. It is realistic and the canoe part is detailed. The bears are supposed to be attached to the canoe. However, the largest bear was broken off. It certainly should not be judged because it arrived broken. The box it came in looked to be pre-packaged with the name of the item stenciled on the outside of the box. No fault of Amazon's. No one would even think it was broken unless they opened the packaging and unpacked the item.

I am trying to replace many of my bear figurines that were destroyed in a housefire. Ten years ago it was fairly easy to find reasonably priced well made bear figurines at under $15. Since then, my favorite supplier has gone out of business and it's increasingly difficult to find much to choose from. I ordered this Bear Carrying Canoe figure several weeks ago. A bit disappointed with the craftsmanship in the bear figures. Bears have a very blank dark expression and overall the sculpture is rather uninteresting. The canoe was the only realistic part of the sculpture.
