SIVGA SV004 Hi-Fi Wood Over-Ear Stereo Open Back Wired Headphones, Built-in Mic, Soft Earmuffs with Carrying Case (Walnut)

This has to be a dream! I got my package in the mail, and I soon as I opened it, I could tell how much thought went into this piece of art. The packaging is simple, but very elegant and sleek. They even give you 2 different types of aux cords(one regular, one with the volume button system)(I didn't remember reading about it, so pleasant surprise!). The cords and extenders/converters all seem to be top notch. They're all metal, no plastic, which is a plus. The case is very well made and has good cushioning on the top section that goes over the headphones inside.Now, the product itself. One thing right off the bat I saw was that wood. It's soooo beautifully made. No scratches(from sanding, etc.), completely smooth surface, and again, all metal, no plastic in sight! The cushioning on the ears are awesome, fit very well over my ears, the adjustability was perfect(not too fast or easy to pull down, had the perfect balance of easiness and stiffness I wanted so they wouldn't slip or something). The swiveling on the holder isn't flimsy at all. It's not like a really swift/fast swivel, more like it has been tightened a little to not do that.(basically be able to adjust to whatever you want, but feels well made/ not cheap)The sound. Oh my gosh, the sound is so different, but in an amazing way. I make soundtracks for video games, so listening to music a lot is a must. I tried listening to different types of songs and they all sounded like I was in the studio with them. Like, I don't even know how to begin to describe it, it was just soooo cool! The bass is just the right amount, depending on what Hz level you were playing at, and the treble wasn't at that ear jerking level that makes your ears hurt. I can tell that these headphones have a more acoustic sounding quality to them(if that's the right term for it), but only because they're an open back. It makes the music feel like it's literally playing in your head and all around you all at once. Very surreal to experience. I would fully recommend this pair of headphones to anyone, they're just one amazing set of headphone artistry.

Great headphones for a reasonable price. I really like the wood design and feel of them. The open back design muffles minor amounts of sound coming in and only allows a minor amount out. This allows me to use them for long periods of time without my ears feeling cramped and sweaty, lets me play music at decent volumes without bothering coworkers, and lets me ignore most exterior sound with music playing or hear conversations by muting the music without having to take them off. The stock pads aren't bad but I quickly switched them out for something I found more comfortable. Not the easiest to do but no real problem. This is my second set of Sivga headphones with different designs, they both sound very similar and are both excellent.

I've only listened to a couple podcasts and some deep house (via Oliver Heldens's Soundcloud), but so far they seem to be great. Since my closed back monitors are the Audio Technica M50xs, I may be used to a more neutral/flat sound. However, these sound pretty great for the price. The build quality is top notch. It's nice that the earcups are attached to the headband with metal bits that have a really nice satin finish.They don't isolate noise, obviously, since they're open back, but it seems like higher pitched or harsher external sounds are almost amplified in the cups. I'm typing on a mechanical keyboard while I listen to music, and I can hear the key presses pretty clearly (Cherry MX Speeds -> silver switch). The sound is good overall, and I imagine in a quiet environment they'd be great to use due to the neutral sound and less pressure in the ears. They look nice, but I question whether the wood is real, and I don't feel like dismantling them to find out.Is it real leather? It has a bit of the synthetic smell to it, unlike real leather.Acoustic differences based on ear cup/driver chamber shape, wood choice, etc between this model and others (e.g. SV005, SV007, etc)Overall, I can't give a full recommendation at this point, as I'll need to use them for a longer period of time to get a full read on how they perform. However, my initial impressions are very positive. One minor nitpick is typos in the manual

Good headphones that play really well with Fiio K5 Pro (not ESS). I had to change pads as the stock ones started being uncomfortable after 1-2 weeks and now only using round 100mm pads.

Koptelefoon was bedoeld voor het luisteren van muziek. Daarvoor slechts 10 minuten gebruikt, aangezien bij slechts geringe beweging de slechte connectie tussen kabel en koptelefoon hoorbaar werd. Dit geprobeerd met de meegeleverde kabels en een aftermarket kabel.... Resultaat bleef gelijk. Iets dat voor mij afbreuk doet aan het luisterplezier, derhalve het apparaat ook retour gestuurd. Over het klankbeeld kan ik derhalve niet oordelen.

I love these headphones. The sound quality is great. I'm getting sound detail from them which has been lacking in all my previous headphones. I have tinnitus and headphones usually tend to exacerbate it, but these don't seem to. I can turn the volume down and still get really clear sound which is great when listening to podcasts etc. I really like the way they look. The design and the wood material makes them stand out from the usual over the ear headphones you see everyone wearing.

So i tried this a 2nd time but they both had the same problem with the cord that connects with the headphone connector. The cord gets coiled there & eventually the sound starts cutting in & out on & off. It takes a few months but is too consistent to recommend this model.
