FiiO K3 DSD USB DAC and AMP 3.5mm Single Ended/2.5mm Balanced/Coaxial and Optical Digital Outputs (Black)

This is my 5th DAC. I have used Audioengine D1 ( good one ), Schiit modi multibit ( hyped only ) , Maverick audio DAC d2 ( great but limited to 96khz and no DSD ) , Topping D30 ( good but no headphone amplifier )Haven't kept all, I sold everyone after a year gap.Just got a new FiiO K3. Remember it's a desktop DAC for PCs, it has no inbuilt battery.Special note: While using lineout for speakers remove your headphone and while using headphone remove the rear lineout 3.5mm jack otherwise you might blow your headphones.In the packet: K3 DAC , Type C cable, 4 sticky pads.It's a little but fantastic and versatile DAC. Has front headphone 3.5mm and balanced 2.5mm out, gain switch ( working miraculously good ) , bass switch ( gives a subtle bass via lineout to your speakers and headphones )Power/volume knob which is quite confident, can feel the click sound.Behind the knob it has 3 indicating light colors depending on what sample rate you are listening to.Upto 48khz it's blue, above 48khz it's yellow and for DSD it's greenThe rear has lineout, optical port and type C for power. Remember for power type C is considered more good than micro usb for clean and steady power.Overall it's a cute, space economic and solid device. As far as sound quality is concerned it's nice and have a good separation. I can easily say this little guy is fantastic piece of equipment from Fiio. I just got this 2 days back and testing it out I am pleased as punch. Sound signature is similar to the Fiio Q1 Mk 2 but slightly flatter in the low frequency. The K3 also has more a powerful headphone out. The portability factor is immense. I bought this to use with my laptop and it has transformed the sound from the unpleasant onboard sound chip to a quite different smooth warm sound which I so love. I use this to drive my mid-fi grade Sennheisers the HD 650, HD 599 & HD 598-SR. It works best with headphones with less than 150 Ohm impedance but will drive 250-300 Ohm models to sufficiently loud levels. You cannot get an amp/DAC as good as this one at this price point. Pair this up with a good quality portable headphone or IEM and you are done. Highly recommended!

4 star because of very hard USB cable which need supposed to be a smooth bending as my Nokia 6.1 plus has loose USB c port the supplied cabel is very hard resulting in wear of my Nokia c port loose.And also DAC disconnect automatically and reconnect itself .I request fiio to give us smooth rubberUSB cablel like that of google usbSound is very realistic compared to other DAC.Low bass is not sufficient.

A very compact build, with very clean and natural audio output. You can use an USB cable to connect to your pc as well. Keep the volume control at a constant 5pm, and adjust your PC volume to 50-80% and you're all set.

Good product but need more input just type-c interface is issue. If it has multiple input option it was wow.. rest sound quality and control are awesom. Love it

yes it's awesome, but it has a pretty bad issue.whenever you stop playing music or audio, or when your pc is just idle without playing anything.this device kinda disconnects and reconnects, and makes a pop sound, which can be pretty loud and irritatingfor windows there is a fix, nothing for mac so far. or at least that I know of.I know I have described the issue vaguely, just google about it, many ppl are having the same issue.over crazy, awesome product, with fiio could fix that issueit's still usable, I am using them with Edifier speaker THZ certified once, I tried to pair them with Logitech Z623, but cables were small for my desk(Z623)

Waste of money.Not enough power.Can't chain it to another amp due to distortion if you try.Stay away.
