Everything I was looking for
This is an amazing monitor...especially for what I do (mostly office work, with occasional YouTube videos). I'm a beginner level tech guy. Here's what I can tell you about this monitor. It's a curved monitor @ 1500R. The higher the number, the more of a curve it has. It's a UHD monitor. QHD (which Samsung does make) are closer to a widescreen. UHD would be widescreen...but it's also taller at the same time. If you're looking for a gaming monitor, you may want to look elsewhere. It does have a gaming mode (which I have not tried). I do know that gamers typically look for a higher FPS than this monitor offers. The UR59 is a 60FPS while most "gaming" monitors are going to be 120FPS to 180FPS. They typically have a faster response time as well. For the average day to day user, a 4ms response time is more than adequate. If you'll be gaming, you'll be looking for something closer to 1ms. All of these features are offered in other Samsung monitors. They just go up in price accordingly. For office workers and internet users, this is a great monitor.

4k Curved Monitor with Hidden Freesync
Just got this yesterday. 32" from corner to corner, a little over 31" diagonally across the screen. Bottom edge of monitor while on stand is about 3.6" above desk. Everything on screen appears smooth and sharp (because 4k). I feel that monitors over 30" should be UHD if your face is between 2 and 3 feet away. With a WQHD monitor of this size, I was having a harder time seeing enemy players from long distances away while gaming, but UHD brings in that detail. When I first got this, the screen was extremely bright and a little washed out. (Mine came from a company that had been testing it in another language too, apparently, so the settings had already been messed with.) I lowered the brightness to 35 and boosted the colors to more accurately match my IPS monitor. It looks great now and much better than other VA monitors. For Freesync, you will need to install third-party software. I originally thought this was a Freesync monitor when I bought it, but there were no options in the on-screen display. I already had a program installed for custom resolutions, and I found that it also had options to enable Freesync. AMD's Freesync range is pretty big, but monitors have a specific range in which it actually works, so I tested between 35 and 60Hz. This one's Freesync range turned out to be 43-59 Hz. If you stray outside the range, you'll experience signal loss. Additionally, this only works with HDMI. Disclaimer: if you choose to enable Freesync on a monitor, research how to do it first, and don't freak out if your monitor goes black. You should probably have another monitor handy in case you mess up. If your Freesync range is different, you'll have to test your lower and upper bounds by limiting framerate to test for signal loss. I will not share exactly how I enabled Freesync because someone capable of doing this should be able to figure it out from what I wrote, and I don't want to be blamed for someone somehow bricking their rig and setting their house on fire. Anyway, I'm in love with this monitor already, and if anything were to happen to it, I would be deeply upset and agitated.

I bought two of these to sit side-by-side in an ultrawide curved setup. I noticed a few reviews complaining about the jiggle from the lightweight stand on this model and I can definitely see where people are coming from, especially if you have a single unit. However the side by side setup definitely results in a more stable setup. If you're doing this or something similar, with it set up against another monitor, then you'll probably find the wobble negligible or non-existent. I found the factory settings a little too bright and over-exposed out of the box so I do recommend either calibrating your monitors or programming them to the settings recommended online for this monitor model. I specifically followed a YouTube reviewer's guidelines for recommended settings for these montiors and find they have a superb range and clarity. They have superb dynamic range, and especially honour true black without that LED white glare you get sometimes in black backgrounds. A few people have cited issues with dead pixels or lines but I did a dead pixel test with various online tools and found no issues within the first two and half months (as of writing this review). I have them hooked up to to my work and personal computers, and find that they switch between devices without much fuss (a massive pet-peeve of my old monitors), although I do generally need to manually switch between inputs if whatever input they're currently set to is off and I turn an alternate on.

The monitor is being used mainly for business applictions (including some basic graphics and design tasks). The system (mac-mini 2018, i7, 64Gb RAM, Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB), runs two OS: Mac and Windows via Parallels with some legacy Windows applications dating back to 2010. Mac part has no problems. Windows legacy apps give me problems in full screen mode, but they are resolved when the size of the window is reduced. When reduced it still gives plenty of space, roughly equalling a 22-24 inch screen, which works for me just fine. The monitor offers a very good picture quality and ample space. Overall: very good monitor
