Favorite.
Favorite watch -- easy to read, has an alarm, unobtrusive backlight and stopwatch. Perfect for people who want function but not distraction. Great for running, waking up, telling time in the dark and generally arriving on time to things if you are easily distractable hehe. The light blue with light pink case is really lovely. Easy to use if you read the manual. This is my second version of the same watch after my last one was stolen along with my backpack, so hopefully someone else is also enjoying one now! Among other things I too, once enjoyed haha. *Sigh* Lovely! Thank you.

Updated review of My new favorite watch
Update: 5 months later and it is still my favorite watch. The band is flexible, hasn't cracked, and the watch looks great. I don't know if it is waterproof but it did survive the cool wash cycle on my washing machine. I misplaced my watch only to find it in a completed wash load. It was still on the timer I used the evening before and had the correct time when switched. Yeah! If it hadn't survived the wash I would have purchased an new one of the same model. Original Post in July 2023 I've used some model of the Timex Ironman watch for 40 years of running/walking. I found that the strap usually broke long before the battery gave out. When my band broke recently I decided to purchase a watch with a rubber band instead of resin to avoid this ongoing issue. I no longer need all the timer options that I got with the Ironman, just a simple stopwatch to time my activities. After researching many watches with the timer feature I decided on this one. Positives for me are: rubber band less likely to break, large numbers, simple timer, backlight, looks so cool! Negatives: so far none. I thought I would not like the larger face but I do, it was just different that what I was used to. I would definitely buy this again and would recommend to a friend who wanted a simple good looking watch with a timer. I do not use it in water so cannot comment on water resistence.

A Nightmare to Set, Otherwise Fine
I could've sworn that Armitron was a well-known watch brand, perhaps only even in my youth, but this watch seems to be of the so-cheap-it's-practically-disposable variety you tend to find littering Amazon, especially when it comes to setting it. A suggestion for anyone buying one of these watches: KEEP THE INSTRUCTIONS. There's absolutely nothing intuitive about setting the time or date, the alarm, the various other settings, etc. Aside from the fact that none of the buttons you press for anything make any sort of sense, they've added an additional layer of stress to the act of setting the time and date on this watch in the form of the seconds counter. You see, the seconds counter never stops. You can reset it to zero with the press of a button when you're setting the time, but when you reset it to zero impacts whether it pushes the minutes forward. This is especially maddening because you set the minutes BEFORE you set the hour, and taking too long to reset the seconds so its doesn't push the minutes ahead by one is really frustrating. It wouldn't be so bad if the buttons weren't kind of tricky to press, but I kind of want that to be the case, as I don't want this watch doing anything fancy while I'm wearing it. I really just want it to show the time. It'd be nice if it showed the date all the time, as it's kind of tricky pressing the upper right-hand button to see the date on command. Despite my frustration in setting this watch, I do really like the watch. It's nice and big, and it's easy to read. I'm not a huge fan of how it looks when it lights up, as it basically becomes harder to read if there's any light around whatsoever, but it's fine for when it's really dark out. Recommended as long as you can stomach setting it.

Good buy! Doesn't break!
The MAIN reason i wanted to try this watch is because all my previous watches, the wristband would always break. I have so many working watches that i can't use because I can't wear them. This one, after years, still has not broken! Great product for a great price! Instructions will help set up the watch with no problem.

Very stylish, functional watch, but inaccurate
This watch has a very appealing minimalist, sleek look to it. Some reviews have criticized the subdued display appearance, but I actually like it. Also, unlike some of the other reviews, I didn't find the functionality to be very complicated. The buttons are positions slightly towards the underside of the watch and are a little difficult to reach, but the advantage to this is that the buttons aren't easily pushed by bumping against something or clothing. I also like the little tab under the sleeve for the wristband, which neatly positions the sleeve over the wristband. However, the primary function of a watch is to accurately keep time, and the accuracy of this watch is pretty poor. On average, the watch loses about 1 second per day. I have owned a few Armitron Instalite Sport watches, and they have been much more accurate compared to this watch. The instruction manual says that the watch can become slow if the battery is low, so I also purchased the same model watch from another store to compare them, and it has the same problem. It loses about 1 second per day. This seems to be a design flaw with the watch.

So far, pretty good
First impressions. The good: Love the minimalist design, looks good. Fits great, lightweight, I forget it's even on me. The could be better: Wish they would of dropped the 'seconds' on the watch face. It takes up alot of space and who really cares about the seconds when they are looking at the time; maybe could of put the date there instead. And, as other have noted, the screen is on the dim side. Wish the time was displayed brighter.

Too Dim To Read Time - To Complex to Set - A Total Waste of Time
What a disappointment. Could any watch really be this bad? Perhaps I got a defective watch. But if the watch I purchased is not defective then it is a totally useless and nonfunctional. I found, as many reviewers have noted before me, that the face of this watch is just to dark, the numbers too dim. It is nearly impossible to read in the dark and normal room light. Button for "light" did little to improve the view. In addition to straining the eye, I simply could not set the watch, even with the help from family members. Was I setting the time or the alarm? I don't know. The instructions were NO help. The buttons did not do what they were supposed to. Trial and error to figure this thing out, if that is possible, is just to hard and too time consuming to be worth the effort. Even if I was able to set this thing, I could barely read it anyway, even if I had the time set it right. So So Bad. The instructions are frustrating and not at all helpful and are more likely to induce headaches and a learning disability. I cannot wait to get this horrible thing out of my life. A cheap watch that is a TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. I think the band might be OK but I HATE THIS WATCH. Hate it. Hate it. Hate it.

Had to get used to it. Excellent value
The watch display is more subtle than I'm used to, so initially I thought it was not readable enough in daytime (due to the black background), and that the pushbutton night display was too brief. I've had it several days now, and I like the simplicity, as well as the solid feel of both watch and crystal, and the comfort and style of the silicon strap. It reads well, and I do like the way the night display fades. I've got a sturdy, more well-featured digital watch that I use for sailing: it has the bells and whistles (e.g., a countdown timer with an alarm) I need for that task. This is my land watch.
