Mat is sturdy with an outstanding grip. I do a lot of hot yoga, and it doesn’t get slippery as my previous mat did. My yoga teacher highly recommended it and it is used by many other students in the yoga studio. I have the extra thick version and it provides nice cushioning for my knees and I even notice it with my hands/wrists. It’s a bit longer length which is nice, there’s plenty of room to stretch out. One thing I noticed with the grippiness, when doing fast movements or sliding back/forth (cardio mountain climbers) I sometimes stubbed my toe. Once you get used to it, it’s fine and I think it’s a good thing because it helps my form -I don’t drag my feet and am more conscious to do the movement correctly. Also, note with the thicker version, it doesn’t roll up so easily, but the cushy benefits outweigh this! It's more expensive than other mats but well worth it - superior to other mats. Highly recommend it!

A winner right off of the bat. It grips without being sticky, which takes away a lot of stress immediately. I don't slip at all, even when I’m sweaty. The 6mm is heavy, but not terribly so. This is my home mat, so it wont do much moving around anyway. The rubber smell is faint compared to other brands I’ve tried. And it’s a beautiful dark teal color, which I love. Very calming.It does show evidence of my practice after I’m done, which is expected, but if I wipe it down with dawn and hot water it reverts back to its original beauty no problem. Im honestly impressed, especially when “investment” mats (aka, at this price point) are worrisome to me because the “eko” mat that compares to this one was AWFUL. If this one is even remotely durable (1-2 years at 3-4x a week), then I’ll be a Bmat girlie for life.Solid, solid mat. I have high hopes!

This is the second Bmat that I have purchased. My first one lasted 6 years. It was a 4mm mat. I decided to buy the premium 5 mm mat this time. I read multiple reviews and articles about the best yoga mats before I purchased this one. I was tempted to buy the Manduka Pro however after reading those reviews about having to treat the mat to make it sticky, I decided not to buy that one. This Bmat is already sticky. I do yoga daily or more than once a day and these mats hold up after daily wear. I travel with it when I go anywhere. Be aware that this mat is sticky and will collect hair and lint that from everywhere. After time, this will not happen anymore. This mat is a little heavier and larger than my 4mm, but I am loving it. It is also very comfortable. I would highly recommend this yoga mat for anyone who is in the market for a professional yoga mat!

The mat holds your footing and is comfortable on the knees when kneeling.

I have recently rediscovered my love of yoga and I had been looking for the perfect mat to do anywhere from 3.5 hours to 10+ hours of practice per week.After doing hours upon hours of research, I decided to try a BMAT out. First of all, it is incredibly comfortable. Sure, it attracts hair/fur and smells like all rubber mats, but it is easy to wipe off with a damp microfiber cloth and it in no way smells toxic. I mainly leave it out in my home office/gym room and ensure it is away from sunlight, but I tried rolling it up once for a few minutes while vacuuming and regret it. There are now creases on the bottom facing part of the mat, and I would have expected better for the price. Lesson learned - I now hang it over furniture and make sure there are no folds on the mat. Regardless, I would recommend it for home practice for those who want something out of rubber and don't expect 10 years out of a rubber mat (check out other big name brands, rubber mats just fall apart over time). I look forward to at least a year of yoga on this mat, 18 months if I am lucky! This mat would cost around 25 cents per day if it lasts a year - which I think is still a good value.

I've always used a Manduka Pro for my power yoga classes but always needed a yoga towel over it because I'm a sweaty Betty and slip on the Manduka. After spending a small fortune on different towels over the years and my frustration reaching its peak, I broke down and got the B Mat after hearing all the rave reviews in my yogi community. This mat exceeded my expectations!! Right out of the box it has unparalleled grip and I quickly realized how much energy I was wasting trying not to slip or to smooth out a bunched up towel on my old mat. Soon after using the B Mat I was able to deepen into my poses and advance into more challenging poses. This mat holds me in place even when I'm dripping sweat. I am traveling soon and did not hesitate to buy the B Mat Traveller version. I know it will not disappoint either!

I wish I had purchased this mat a year ago, but I purchased a Manduka Pro instead. BIG mistake. I could never "break in" the other mat. The B mat is AWESOME! Right out of the package it was great! No slipping AT ALL!!! The thickness and length are perfect. The only thing I do notice is that I have to wipe it down with water more often than I have had to with other mats due to seeing smudges. Although, I don't see that as a negative. It's probably better anyway. It had a very slight rubber smell but nothing that was a deal breaker, and that smell is completely gone now. When I've finished my practice, it rolls up just fine. As someone who practices Yoga 5-6 days per week, I would highly recommend this mat! I don't think you can go wrong!

I bought this mat after using my regular mat in buti yoga, the thickness really helps and it is slip proof which while moving at a fast pace and sweating is nice to not have to worry about slipping and falling so you can focus on what you are doing rather than trying not to fall.I would definitely recommend this mat to others.
